I prefer checking when hot, as that is the condition by which the engine operates.I thought motor was supposed to be warm when checking oil ?
I thought it was right in the ToS…Isn't the whole point of a forum like this to try to spread awareness of what's going on with our machines? Not just talk a bunch of s***?
Almost felt like i was playing name that tune - i can name that desktop in 4 icons.I prefer checking when hot, as that is the condition by which the engine operates.
The manual does state engine oil can be checked hot or cold.

My mom taught me two wrongs don't make a right also.Did your Mom ever show you Bambie?

Sometimes "spreading awareness" REQUIRES talking shit!I thought it was right in the ToS…
’The whole point of the forum is to talk sh!t’. ;-)
in all seriousness please keep us updated
Two wrongs don't make a right, but three rights do make a left.My mom taught me two wrongs don't make a right also.
Good morning. Would you please send over a private message with your VIN and dealer info so I can look into this concern with your Mustang on my end?Hello all, hope everyone is doing well.
1st post and unfortunately it has to be negative.
I purchased a Dark Horse Premium for close to 90 in cash about a week ago. Saved for years for a dream car and this was it.
Upon getting it home (48 miles on her) she was a quart low on oil. Went to a local dealer they couldn't even tell me if if it full or synthetic blend.
Went with the blend to get back within specs.
I wrote it off to it's a high performance motor breaking in. No big deal
Yesterday on the freeway. And I've babied her mind you, check engine light comes on. Not ok
Performance drops and I can tell a cylinder on the right bank is misfiring. Absolutely ridiculous to spend that amount of money on a vehicle and having it do this. I have only filled with premium fuel and have followed the manual to a T.
Fords quality control has gone to s***
I had a 2011 coyote that never had any problems.
I'm pissed I dropped that much cash now to have her towed and some 19 year old kid have to diagnose, change coil packs, or rip the heads off. Then test drive her and go as fast as he can.
So here's my questions for yall
Do any of you have any contacts at Ford that you think would be beneficial to speak with?
Appreciate your time.
Not Ok Ford, not ok.
Hey boys, thanks to all for responses.
Got In contact with Ford CS today and started a claim.
Was able to call the dealer and they pulled codes for cylinders 1 and 5 misfiring. So both banks.
Ford will only tow 50 miles but that's in the contact so I can't complain.
As far as being clairvoyant on damage, I was more asking for opinions as I havnt ripped a motor down with misfires.
The CS reps were all very nice and professional as well as the Ford roadside service. I'm going to tow it back to original dealer who is Shelby certified.
Will keep updating for sure. Fingers crossed it's somthing small, but yall are right it happens. Warranty
His last few posts (including his whiny post) were on 31 JUL, only 3 days after his first post, all of them in this one thread. Not sure why people can't come back and update after pining for help. Probably found out it was his fault and doesn't want to admit it ... LOL.

For some reason made me recall the time i learned about opening a quart of oil with a bottle opener...................1970ish; my bud up the street from my parents house had a '69 Nova; 307/2bbl. Took really good care of it.
I was BSing with him one day as he was changing his oil/filter in his folk's driveway. As he was pouring the last quart into the engine, his Dad came out of the house; got the push mower out, and pushed it past us and the car to mow the front lawn. As he got to the rear of the Nova; he started yelling at my bud in German (both my bud's parents had come to the US after the war) which neither my bud or me understood.
My bud HAD NOT put the oil drain plug back in and all 5 quarts of oil was running down their sloped asphalt driveway!
It was all the way out to the driveway entrance and gutter!
Damn! He was out there cleaning it up for a long time! And, then had to buy another 5 quarts!![]()
