Hello people. I have a question to the dark horse owners in the forum. Upon looking at a factory dark horse, I noticed if you guys look into your intake tubes from the front, you have this grille up in there, I assume for big objects like leaves. I convert to a dark horse bumper, but it didn’t have that, it’s just open.
my question is this. I noticed upon looking at a dark horses OEM parts and my car, both cars share the exact same number for the intake inlets, and that grille Is located no where within fords intake diagram.
Do any of you have any insight on this?

it looks like those intermediate intake passageways are actually different. i cannot comment on fitment, though. here are the part numbers.

Shite. That might be why. It’s the radiator support that actually includes that oddly enough, thought it would be the intake tube itself. I’m sure it really doesn’t matter lol. A lil leaf won’t do anything.

Yup. Just saw the part number is off by one digit for the dark horse and GT. They look the exact same and obviously I’m sure they fit the same exact way, only difference it SEEMS is the dark horse has what they call the “air baffle” which is NOT worth that $500 part. Insane.

Kinda late reply but mine are wide open if that helps. Mine was the car damaged on delivery so I can't promise they didn't swap in GT intakes. I think on the repair order there was only one of the two intakes replaced tho

It’s not even intakes. It’s the radiator air deflectors actually. It’s not the intake tubes or anything. But yes. If you have an OEM Dark Horse and the intake tubes are straight thru with no grille - someone definitely replaced the radiator air deflectors on both sides. I wonder with what.

Sorry to mislead. Thought I remembered reaching my fingers in there to fix the air duct boots, but I must have reached through those grates
