From what I can tell, they get the same sized wheels and tires.

They both can come with Magneride dampers.

Both come with Brembo 6 piston front brakes and 4-piston rears.

It seems they are the same, in terms of suspension and handling, unless there are some "other" differences. If so, what are the differences? Show off your brand knowledge and save me from a life of wearing white New Balance shoes at Corvette meets!

DH general maybe but not DH Handling Pack - that gets the bigger wheels/tires package.

I went round and round with myself also about the GT loaded out vs the DH general, anxiously awaiting the answers

The big difference would be if you want a standard. I imagine if I wanted an auto, I would save a few bucks and get a GT PP with MR. The Tremec on the other hand, is a game changer. The DH with the Tremec is truly a joy to drive compared to my 2020 GT PP w/MR, which I sold. Also, everything in the post below this.

Right, but suspension-wise, they seem "fungible"

I would definitely get the Dark Horse if it had the front of the GT.

I didn't like the 650 GT when it came out, especially the rear. But for some reason, after exactly 1 year, I now like the 650 GT way better than the S550.

I didn't like the look of the Dark Horse either at the beginning and I still don't like the Dar Horse front.

Those black raccoon plastic things are reminding me of video game vehicles that don't exactly look like the real counterpart.

I also dislike the design of the lower air vents on the front of the Dark Horse, compared to the "partially" fake air vents on the GT.

That made my decision to buy the GT easier and more affordable.

Go on Ford's website, compare the packages yourself...to many options to list specific differences.

I will promise... if Ford follows GM, Dodge, BMW... there is more than you can see from the build specs. It is not the same, will you notice? depends on your level of usage.

I have a GT premium, PP, MR, Active exhaust in manual. I drove a dark horse at the Ford performance school and honestly couldn’t really tell the difference in speed or handling (although the DH was an auto, so there’s that) I’m fine with the lesser tranny but I did put a MGW short throw on it that was an improvement. If $ isn’t the biggest issue the. why not go DH but for me I got the best I could afford and have zero regrets. It’s been about a year and I still smile when I walk up to it.

IIRC, the MT-82 can actually handle a fair bit of additional power, and better than the TR-3160. so, if you plan to make a lot of power, you might be in better shape with the GT's manual transmission than the DH's

Dark Horse MR damping is tuned differently for sharper handling.
Also has stiffer springs and larger sway bars(not sure if this only applies to the HP).
