Dock delays in Brisbane

Long time reader, first time poster. I just found out from my dealer that all the Mustangs that were offloaded off the Tosca in Brisbane have been quarantined due to something found. Now they all need to be cleaned and inspected again. So those, including myself, who were hoping to get their cars before Christmas, unfortunately have a bit more of a wait.
I have a contact at AAT where they were offloaded and waiting for more information so I will keep you all posted.

Update: apparently one of the Mustangs had a big/spider hitching a ride. Bio Security will inspect 10% of the remainder and if they find nothing, they will release the rest. Fingers crossed

Tosca is out of there and on its way to Port Kembla
Yep. Congestion in port of Brisbane. 4 day delay apparently
Tortugas is sitting off Caloundra waiting to get in.
Was supposed to be in yesterday arvie.
No chance of before Christmas now.
Hopefully no spiders on the Tortugas.

Yeah, I got an update yesterday. All 106 mustangs are still in quarantine with no ETA. Most likely after Christmas now.

It will be interesting to see if the Tortugas cars are also Quarantined at Brisbane (and Port Kembla). Although originally due at Brisbane on 18/12/24, It is currently still anchored off Caloundra, and has been rescheduled to depart Brisbane 28/12/24

Got another update from the Dealer and its not good news. Their system says the earliest the cars will be released is the 7th of January with more updates after that date. Sigh

Tortugas is still awaiting Brisbane entry, and Tosca is still awaiting entry to Pt Kembla (scheduled for 17/12/24).

just speculation, however as the cars for both Tosca and Tortugas both come from the same spider infested Compound at Baltimore, they could also possibly Quarantine Tortugas cars. Just have to wait and see.

The Tosca is now due to dock at Pt Kembla on the 3rd January.
Only 18 days late! So my Dark Horse will be either full of spiders or rust.
Maybe I’ll get lucky and see it before the end of January! I didn’t want rego and insurance due at Christmas each year anyway lol.
