Exhaust Crackling at Idle/Off

Just wanted to ask if this is the experience of others as well. When the car is at idle, or just after I turn it off, the exhaust makes some crackling noises. It’s not dissimilar from the typewriter tick of the engine, but it’s coming directly from both sides of the exhaust with nothing from the engine. At first I chalked it up to it being the exhaust cooling off after shutting off, but it’s happening with the car running too. I don't usually get out of the car with it idling, so I'm not sure how long it's been doing this.

Completely normal. It’s the exhaust cooling down.

Editing to add if it’s happening at idle it could be on a cold car?

Normal. It even continues to do that after switching the engine off.

Thanks. Not really... the car had been driven to and from the gym, about 10 minutes each way. Outside temperature about 60 degrees.

Same here all normal... this car is riddled with noises rattles, transmission whine, noisy injectors, and yes I even have the BBQ tick. None of that bothers me, I knew what I was buying. Car runs like a beast, nothing better than the V8 rumble, active exhaust sounds killer. I consider this car a workhorse, it takes a lickn and keeps on tickin
