Yes, Elon agreed popping exhausts are the calling card of a moron.
You keep repeating this, and just as crassly - the very definition of the word moron itself. No worries if you don't like the pops, but it's far from the calling card of stupid people.

Exhaust popping is the calling card of a moron, and shouldn’t be on a Mustang. It’s something I would expect on something like a Audi hatchback with a 2 litre turbo, not a NA V8.

I know this is an old thread but I do have a question. I have an s650 convertible GT with performance pack and magneride and I get the pops and bubbles when I break in Sport and especially track mode, but the car kind of "jerks" too if you know what I mean as it decelerates along with the pops and burbles. I really love the noises and the feeling but I'm just wondering if that "jerky" feeling along with it is normal or not. I followed the recommended 1,000 mile break in period

Mine gets an occasional pop when it's decelerating.
Same Here. i have only noticed occacional pop when decelerating
have it for a year now, 5000miles

it was not a concern! I know they are normal behavior on this engines! and i love those sounds!
I was just pointing out that i only hear that while decelerating, and not always....but always looking forward it! :cool:
