Hi all

I am looking for opinions to suggest a suitable resonator to help me clean up my sound and reduce decibels marginally.

On my manual transmission Mustang GT 24.5 I have upgraded my factory exhaust system to a 3 inch Corsa Xtreme Valved Exhaust System/Dual in/Four out CAT backed system with a Corsa double HH Pipe resonator delete.

There is no doubt you can hear the difference in sound levels. My goal was to increase the sound levels to get that old muscle car rumble and deeper note. Unfortunately it is a little too much, at cold starts it is the worst and just sounds like plain annoying noise. I will say I get no in cabin drone which is great and probably helped by the double HH pipe. After take off and warm idles the sound balances out a little more. I am not getting that nice tone with the increased sound I was hoping for. With my wife and family now noticing this and commenting, I need to make a change.

I would like suggestions on which resonators out there you could suggest that will help me clean up this excessive and annoying noise at cold starts, idle and a bit of sound reduction at full throttle? I don't mind losing some of the pops with the high to low rev/gear changes.

I was considering a high flow inline resonator and if anyone has purchased a resonator below from Lethal Performance that could be suggested:

have you tried the stick resonator? it is on the heavier side compared to an H pipe but flows well

thanks for your reply. do you mean stock resonator? If yes i have just taken that off to replace with the Double HH Pipe resonator delete. I am happy with that and know that is the set up for me. I know the sound needs a little tidying up so looking for any experience from others that installed something small like a bottle resonator, to not clean up the sound whilst not loosing allot of sound.

Cold starts sound so terrible, I don't know how so many people in the community got to the point of posting them and jerking off to them like it sounds good.
