Ok I have been watching this thread. My MY24 was on the last hole on the stick when I got home from the dealer(about 5 miles). I have the PP which has the oil cooler. I added 1/2 quart Motorcraft blend which brought it to the middle between the holes on the stick. I changed the oil at 2k with 10 qts blend. Before the change I had no noticeable change on the stick. After the change the stick showed full. I have a JPR oil catch can and it did have teaspoon on oil in it. I used the Ford blend in all my Fords and Lincolns for years and never burned oil with some having over 175k miles. None of my Mustangs have the tick. Always used Ford filters also. Maybe if you don't have an oil cooler you only need 9.5 QTS.

Why are you using the blend and not full synthetic? Dang you were low from the dealer. Sheesh

Blend works fine. Never had a problem and I can't see using synthetic. Many on other Mustang forums over the years have switch to synthetic and developed a tick. Synthetic has better specs but it maybe can have other issues. I'll stick what has worked for me. If you used something and never had issues you more than likely wouldn't change.

From my reading the tick in itself isn’t really bad or am I missing something? Also what is your interval with that blend.

Tick doesn't hurt other than being an annoyance. Would people that have it prefer not to? Probably so. I go one year before change or if the monitor says to do it sooner. Usually it is around 5k. Sometimes less. Never go over 1 year.

I wish I can comment on this, but honestly, this car has been a nightmare reading the dipstick on lol. The side with the hatches is insanely inconsistent, and getting the dipstick out with the strut brace is another mission lol.
All I know is Ford’s system told them it holds 9.5 qts according to my VIN, so they used 9.5. I haven’t checked it since, and I honestly don’t care. Anything fails, it’s on them.

Even with a blend it will hold to 5k?

How does your vin dictate the amount of quarts? My build date is from October of this year. I thought that might mean something but I’m not sure.

The technician system ford tech’s use. It’s used to pretty much do anything, like looking at workshops for your car, etc. It shows info like capacities specific to your exact car. And it told the tech 9.5 is the spec

Be pretty cool. Wish I had access to that. Wish I could see what my spec is. I didn’t even know about the different manuals with one saying 10 quarts and another saying 9.5 floating around. Ford should really clear up that miscommunication.

Looking at my cooler size it could hold 1/2 qt. With using 10qts my stick reads right on the money full.
