For saying it doesn’t matter how much you pay to flash the result is the same? for saying the effort required to flash is no more difficult than flipping a switch or toggling a toggle? You are just trolling now.

It’s so simple even a tech hates doing itOK
How do you 'flash' the PCM on a Ford? Do you know?
What is involved, how long does it take, and how much are you going to charge (remember the dealer has to pay somebody to do it as well as licensing Ford IDS software). What do you have to do after a PCM reflash?
Maybe after you have worked that out you will see why 'flipping' (your words) 100k cars is not a 'simple' job that can be done for free.

A bit of a word bytes but anyway … which side do you really wanna be on. The side that makes it extra expensive to do something or the side that says it’s really pretty easy to update software? You can't answer can you

These two have a history of dumb and pointless arguments, that force others to put them on ignore. This new pissing competition just takes off from where the last one ended. What a dumb argument this is...
No point - that’s harsh. But I guess we already know …. Sorry couldn’t resist. Why the face? These two have a history of dumb and pointless arguments, that force others to put them on ignore. This new pissing competition just takes off from where the last one ended.

I live for this. Really is everyday water cooler talk, and it's the best. Working on global platforms is so interesting due to the complexity and differences every region has. Like for example the S650 EU version will have different headrests than all other S650's due to tougher whiplash requirements, and previous headrest designs didn't live up to those standards.Damn that was an interesting read.
This is the kind of experience that I would love to have a beer and chat about. Gotta be some interesting stories deeper in these programs you were part of.
Is it the same seat and mounting mechanism and just a different ‘pillow’? As in, will the headrest with the enhanced function retro fit into the non export model, if the added safety is your thing?I live for this. Really is everyday water cooler talk, and it's the best. As I left in August, we we're finishing up a lot of the RHD development. Sorry to say that handbrake position will not be any different, but definitely agree it seemed awkward when sitting in it. Hopefully Vehicle Dynamics was able to adjust this. Australian version will be mostly the same as the EU product other than the calibration and associated hardware as you mentioned as Ford is trying to spend as little as possible to homologate that. Not sure if MT82-D4 was re-sourced but was re-tooled with some adjustments to allow for shorter, smoother and crisper shifts. Time will tell about durability. MT82-D4 changes will be applied to all regions so you can expect positive feedback to carry over outside of some minor regional tuning differences.Ah nice, Are you aware with Australian prototype also ? The Australian models varies from the US version, with a different exhaust manifold and calibration to suit different noise and emission regulations, while US and ECE rating procedures are also different. Aside from the exhaust manifold, the engine hardware is the same. Also lot of people really wished that Ford would convert the Hand break RHD and the cup holder opposite side as it throws you off having bottle in the way when shifting gears where it's currently positioned.
Has there been any changes on the MT82-D4? A lot of positive feed back with the s650 MT!
For EU it'll be the same seat structure and mechanisms with new foam. Same guide sleeves for the head rest but different bend in the headrest post with new foam. So yes you should be able to retro fit without an issue. Is it the same seat and mounting mechanism and just a different ‘pillow’?
