im definitely getting my custom stripes painted on when my vinyl starts to peel. been fine for 11 months so far

Opinion: If you're going to do the stripes it would be highly recommended to get them PPF covered after - as the other poster said they tend to have issues over time - but the PPF will extend there durability and operational life span by a large margin, and it's still cheaper than painting them on not to mention you can remove them if you decide to. Paint - well - is paint ...
