I ordered this and there seems to be a large gap on the bottom where they say to put the adhesive. It seem mostly attached with the double sided tape.

Anyone else experience the same issue?
I was a bit unsure where they wanted the bead of adhesive by their instructions as well. After a few dry fittings and feeling around, I determined that the adhesive had to go directly beneath tape (very slight groove there) in order to make contact with the original splitter. Once it was dry I was going to go back from underneath and try to fill-in some adhesive, but could feel that it made good contact between the two with out the need for filler.

Thanks for the replies. They really should revise the instructions.

Unfortunately I put the bead where they instructed(should have run my fingers through on a dry fit). I did add some of the glue into the tight spots after it was on and it seems pretty solid.

YEa mine was the same the tape even after cleaning the little factory trim piece slipped after making sure it was on came out to find some weird gapping. I had to pull it off and remove the dam adhesive. TOo much gap on the bottom could have been designed better for the price. Its currently sitting on a workbench in my shop. Decided to get the feral industries one as it bolts on.

I've had mine on for 6 months, weekly trips thru the car wash, and it looks good and fits well.
