I was told I'd be updated every week and I was getting worried lol. I wouldn't worry too much about it personally...

It's been 52 days since my last Ford email.

I'm at the stage of being done kicking and screaming about how my order is taking too long. I'm just going to continue racking up my bonuses and pay raises in the mean time. I'll be more inclined to hang on to my order if they keep raising the prices on the Dark Horse. My price Protection is saving me $3,000 currently, won't be surprised if it's up near $5,000 by the time Q2 2024 rolls around.

They might be a little busy right now issuing recalls and dealing with UAW strikes.

🤣

You need to call the 1 800 number in Florida, I called once a week, after I receive the window, sticker and they’ll give you information and what status your car is in.
They’re real friendly and that’s what their job is.
You shouldn’t yell and scream at them. Just be pleasant. They’ll be pleasant back, very simple.
It’s called customer service.
My salesman kept me informed all the way after the Car left the factory.
Your salesman might be the best resource?

My order has been previewing for production the last 4 weeks at Priority 01 in their main scheduling system. "You'll be scheduled within the next 1-3 weeks" said the Regional Director of Dealer Relations. No new scheduling has taken place since because all other orders are having their production dates moved back. I was initially previewed for production w/o 8/19, then w/o 8/26. I haven't asked for an update the last 2-3 weeks but I assume my order is previewing for Spetmeber now. I'm in regular talks with the general sales manager at the dealership I'm ordering from. I don't plan to check back until Ford starts scheduling orders again.

Since April, I maintain a firm belief that I won't be getting this Dark Horse. I want Ford to prove me wrong, but I've given my hopes up way too many times during the first 12 months of waiting expecting I would get an allocation. Even with my order previewing, I still don't believe I will get a VIN.

Ford has really screwed the pooch as far as being able to complete orders placed months ago for 24 MY Mustangs.

I suspect a bunch of cars are going to be dropped off the order list due to parts availability.

Anyone know when the 2025 order book opens?

I think 2025 Order banks should open sometime in August because September should be the last full month of MY 24 production. Order banks close for 2024 MY in 2 weeks. It was mentioned in the past that the current model year would have an 18 month lifespan starting March 2023.

My prediction is Ford will do it's best to lower their backlog as much as possible in September and potentially extend production into October. Once 2025 MY starts, they will prioritize stock orders during the winter and then start knocking out Retail orders in March.
