I got a pouch in mine, but compared to the zippered, book-sized neoprene type pouch my 2007 had, this new one is garbage. I'll leave it in the glove box, but I'll likely never touch it or use it for anything. Ford could have given nothing instead of said pouch on the 2024, and I'd have lost nothing, really.

As for the magnetic charging, it works for my iPhone, but only for short drives when I basically don't need it. On longer drives it gets too hot and then the phone stops charging at all, so I have to sit the phone sideways in the holder to keep it from getting too hot.

I'm honestly just thrilled that I happened to get a Mustang without the silly Auto-Stop/Start thing. Just luck, I guess! I just can't understand why that would be a logical thing to put on a car like this.
emissions reasons, probably

That's the problem with wireless charging in general. The alignment of the coils and phone have to be spot-on to avoid heating issues, so it's basically a coin toss whether your particular phone model will line up.

Okay, but doesn't everyone just turn it off the moment they get into the car anyway? Seems like a waste of resources to bother with on a car like this.

Interesting. I've never used the magnetic charging function on any of my devices, so I really have no idea how it works in practice. So if I was able to center my phone in the charging area, might that help?

its the fact that it requires owner action to turn off, same reason why track exhaust is not on if it was on the last key cycle

Even with no case on the phone it continued to overheat.
Your phone is the problem. Had it with every Samsung and since I switched over to a different brand most things run much smoother.
I like Samsung but wireless charging or charging in general is abysmal on every Apple and Samsung.

Sadly, wireless charging implementation is a total crapshoot. Pixel phones do well, random off-brand Android phones do well, but then the flagship Apple and Samsungs phones overheat.

Look at the positive side of things - Ford's cost cutting measures by getting rid of things just mean fewer items for them to recall in the future.
🤣 🤣 🤣
Nice and you own one.

I wouldn't worry about losing the wireless charging pad... they suck. Though removing features, but increasing prices is a dick move.
A part of business, nothing stays the same.

Correct, but the automotive industry is going in wrong direction
You are right that’s why I made my decision to buy The Mustang GT! muscle cars are becoming rare
