What is “self-draining,” and how does it work on these FP AOS? And being maintenance free? Does it move the collected fluid back down into the crank case?

What is “self-draining,” and how does it work on these FP AOS? And being maintenance free? Does it move the collected fluid back down into the crank case?
That's one of the reasons it's not standard. Ford would have to add another notification light in the dash to check/empty the catch can.

I installed one on my 2014 GT. Passenger side. It collected some oil between changes, but only a couple tablespoons. Haven't thought about the new GT. It looks pretty cramped down there. Any difficulty getting it installed? Difficult installing those new bolts/nuts? Instructions from Ford good? Thanks!

I used to jlt on mine, the bracket bolted to one of the studs that holds the coolant reservoir down and the hoses literally snapped into place all I had to do was remove the strut Tower brace and the engine cover in order to route them.
