Front license plate

Three cars without front plate for years, no real problem. Ticket would be $75. What's funny is that 20 some state have no front plate requirement, and they all can be legally driven in my state.

In my state at least they can give you a repair order where I'd have to take my car to a police station within 30 days to show a properly installed front license plate.

I'm in Maryland as well, but it's been a while since my last ticket. Repair order must be new requirement

They don't HAVE to do it, but they can. I'd be happy to get a warning or even the ticket as long as I'm not forced to install a front plate.

I went with the Sto N Sho as I posted earlier in this thread. I'm not sure about other jurisdictions, but where I live (Ontario, Canada), apparently placing the license plate unobstructed in the front windshield with suction cups (easily found on Amazon) is also considered acceptable by law enforcement. I'm not a cop/lawyer/etc., but something worth considering.

That's a quick way to get stopped in Texas! I have the sto n sho but it is mounted in the trunk

I've read the same thing about placing the plate in the windshield. It will give you a better chance of being pulled over than not having a front plate at all. It's sort of makes it too obvious that you don't have a properly mounted front plate.

Has anyone found an alternative to drilling holes in their front bumper for the NJ front license plate requirement?

If you have a tow on the front you can get a plate holder with tow mount, also misimoto has a mount that also has a mount that goes in the tow area.

Yes - get some very long screws with the butterfly ends and put the license plate thru the grill off center. Use the blue true grip on the screw so it holds tight and firm
