what kind of battle? new car price negotiations? If it's a 24 then expect at least 10 up to 15% off. If not they are ripping you off. The 25's will be here soon. Most of the Mid Atlantic dealers are 6-7K off of GT's.

This is HIGHLY dependent on where you live, but yea - model year end should be getting some decent deals. I did, but mine is manual and they don't sell as well especially as winter approaches.

I got close to 10% off in January 2024 so yeah don't get ripped off.

Time of year or month, can be advantageous but that doesn't mean you can't push them further. I don't usually look forward to the car, or boat, purchasing drama. However, once the bell has rung, I enjoy the process. I've never been one to shy away from a challenge and getting your price, can sometimes be a challenge. When I am shopping I will usually go to two or three dealers, I have no intention of buying from. Then I will be armed, with all the info I need, when I get to my intended target. If I can't work a deal, I walk away. No loss and much gained. Glenn

All other things being equal and you’re happy with the car and the deal I’d say you did just fine. It‘s been my experience that all these 10-15% off deals you hear about usually have a fly or two hanging on them when you get there. Some plan or condition you don’t qualify for, etc.

Now, get that phone out and get to snappin’!

To answer your specific question: Where 6 to 7 K off MSRP? I bought a black Premium GT 6 weeks ago from KOONS Ford of Silver Spring MD. Lowest MSRP I could find for a 400A 6- speed GT Premium at $49,135. Only options were $895 Premium 19" wheels and Spare tire. Paid $43,000 plus TAX/Tit/Lic. The deals are out there but you may have to make a road trip. I flew to Wash DC. Dealer picked me up and 45 minutes later we were at the dealership. Closed in less than 2 hours. Dealer was honest and had everything ready for my arrival. Drove 840 miles back to my home in OFallon ILL. (near St. Louis). Just made it into a road trip. Great drive through the Appalachian mountains. Also took the time to vary my speeds and quickly get acquainted with "Evelyn"...her new name. KOONS is a HIGH VOLUME dealer who had a number of entry level GT Premiums in stock. They are GREAT to work with. Good luck in your search!
