I deal with this every day lol. Even different paint manufacturers, Axalta, Basf which is Glasurit and Diamont, Ppg, Sikkens, all have different formulas. Blend it or end it. Panel matching colors is not guaranteed by any paint company.
Cromax is Axalta used to be Dupont. Fyi

I mean it's about on par for panel gaps I've seen from Ford themselves.

Speaking of color though...Ford, why is my paint not Grabber Blue?

(It's like, one shade off and caused a repaint to actually match)

I'm not mad, I'm just dissapointed.🤣
oh boy, i think in the sunlight you are going to notice your fenders a different shade of blue. i had repairs done to my DH in January and it looks perfect, the body shop i went to uses PPG Paints

yeah, im considering one of two options, the cheaper route of just getting front spacers, or saying fuck it and getting two more 20X11s and run square up front. either way ill want to get either fender flares or canards up front as the current wheels meet the splitter at the bottom outer edge
Oh I don't mean the gap between the fender and wheels but between the panels.

It's not factory, is factory perfect? Nope, but anything aftermarket will not fit perfectly.

His previous panels looked alright.

I would never trade a brand new good looking panel to another panel that's not fitting wel.

Gives me the "I totalled my car and had to find a new bumper" vibe.

Yeah I get it, I hear you. It's a different world. But the majority won't see it that way. Will be his and a cool build. I hope the young guys would be doing this. I'm old people. Lol

Makes sense until you realize the factory fit wasn't much better

Yeah each their own, I just gave my opinion.
I would only do stuff like this to an old beater car. Not to a brand new one. A brand new one must look crisp. The Mustang already suffers from panel gaps. I had a hard time searching the lot for 1 without any crazy gaps and I found one. Would never remove those panels and put another one with a crazy looking gap.

I like your build, but that's every car, with plastic front covers. If you take them apart every day you would see why. My 2 cents. Don't sweat it.

Your opinion is valid. BTW, like you said to each their own.

some more photos from the guy that did the fender install, you can see where youll want the inner fender painted black to aid the aesthetic

Love it!

Seems like it needs something on the back half, to balance it out a bit

Nice to see someone do this install.
