Why do all modern aftermarket wheels look the same?

with the exception of belaks, it’s almost like the blanks are ALL cast/forged identical and then companies put “their” respective center cap

this wheel is a textbook example, I feel like i could find dozens of identical patterns with different branding

are wheels like a dropship business now?

I see what you mean but I can tell you that we design our own products in house. The Helium and all our Cold Forged Collection are Flow Form Wheels and we are blowing out inventory for our EVO Collection. (Forged Monoblocks)

You could find something similar but no one has our PCD area design feature. Cast and Flow Form wheels are usually mass produced to some extent. Some wheel companies do essentially dropship as they are pre-determined offsets and bolt patterns. Ours are not.

i like these wheels, but i gotta kinda agree with @Q6543 here. the whole "angular split 5-spoke with webbing and lug pockets" design is cool but not unique anymore. what happened to the interesting designs?

something like Project 6GR's remix of the GTD wheel the Ten-D, or Vossen's HF-2 and HF-7, or Vorsteiner's V-FF, or Rotiform's ZMO-M which takes the whole angular split 5-spoke thing and adds an extra bit around the edge.
even OEM wheels nowadays like Ford's GT350R and GT500 CFHP/TP carbon fiber wheels, Mach 1 Handling Package, Mustang GT Performance Package and Mach-E GT Performance package, all of the F-150 Lightning wheels, and the black appearance package wheels on the 2023+ super duty trucks, and all those are just some of Ford's cool designs.
