That was awesome! Thanks for sharing!!Great video! Thanks for posting it. Scary but awesome.
Average speed says it all, has become less in recent years, more like 125 km/h (78 mph) due to increasing traffic density, more trucks, etc.According to one internet site, the average speed on the Autobahn is 135 kPH or about 80 MPH.
Speaking only for myself, I won't drive over 80 MPH on the highway even in Texas where that limit is often ignored. It is a combination of alertness (sign of danger vs. reaction time), stopping distance (a big unknown variable), and the amount of traffic (unpredictable). Which means, obviously, I still believe speed kills! That is to say... Speed on brother, Hell ain't half full!
At least in Texas the majority seem to try and go the speed limit or reasonably above it. There are exceptions, but it’s at least a bit more reasonable than the vastly overcrowded US east coast.According to one internet site, the average speed on the Autobahn is 135 kPH or about 80 MPH.

well... last time I was on an a-bahn was ’11? or so. I was a bit surprised by the number of cell-yakkers, I’d thought that was a more American poor driving habit. I was driving Nuremberg to Frankfurt, travel was mostly brisk, but there were a surprising number of left lane turtles.Nothing special on german authobahn, when it is allowed they are using left lane like it should be used![]()
