I wish it did the horn thing when locking with the handle button. It's hard to hear the click or see the red light in a lot of situations.
Enable WAL and you'll never have to worry about it. Or use the fob, right?

Three lines or whatever is on top. Is it one line? Hell, I can't remember!
I recall three lines on S550 Mustangs, but my DH has a little "lock" icon. I'll have to take a pic.

But this is a FORscan enabled option and not a Factory enabled option correct?? Or, am I incorrect in how I’m reading this? I am just a reader on the Forum and come to get the Latest talk and Information on upcoming OTA Updates or features not known to me. I enjoy my GT as is but want to know all of the goodies that are “sometimes” hidden. :like:

Always a Big Thanks to you and @rugedraw for the Valuable information.

I'm aware of two taps to the FOB produces a horn.

For WAL I would need to go the FORScan route, right?

I think it is a pad lock icon come to think of it. I haven't been able to drive the car in 2 weeks so kinda forgot what was there in contrast to the other cars in the stable that I drove more frequently.

Do you, in your opinion, think that will be passed down in an OTA update? I know that’s a rather hard question to answer being as Ford ”may or may not” deem it necessary to the Consumer as an option.

I can tell you that it can be sent via OTA. All it would entail is a minor config change within the update. Whether Ford decides to do it or not is unknown.

Touching the door handle does work nicely. But it makes a fingerprint and drives my OCD crazy.😂
I keep a microfiber cloth tucked into the pocket in the driver's door ... :)

I don't have OCD. I have CDO. It's a lot like OCD, but the letters are all in the correct f@#$ing order!

I'm not really sure I understand what you're saying. On my car, I just touch the three lines on top of the door handle. The car locks audibly (can hear the door lock actuators engage) and the lights flash. The car does not then unlock spontaneously as I walk away. The car stays locked. Is your car then unlocking itself after you touch the lines on the handle and have begun walking away?
OK, my problem is solved, thanks to roadpilot. If I let my fingers get to close to the inside of the handle, not even inside, the car will unlock after I touch the lock symbol, using my left hand. If I keep my fingers as far away, as possible, the car remains locked. I have the same problem with touch screens, even the touch screen in the Stang. My fingers will actually make selections before I physically touch the screen. This causes me all sorts of problems on iPhones and iPads. Otherwise, roadpilot is correct. My car unlocks when my fingers are inside the grip and locks when I press the lock symbol. I suppose I could teach myself to use my right hand and my fingers would be further away. Unfortunately, I have used my left hand to unlock cars since I was 16. Glenn

On another note, I went to my car after work the other day, opened the door, got in, the greeting came up on the display, pressed the start button, and the car wouldn't start. I tried the button a few times and was like "wtf?" then I looked at the display and it said "key not detected".
I had left the keys at work.
So it seems the Ford app on my phone in my pocket let me get in my car.(I ALWAYS make sure the car is locked when I leave it.)
