She just arrived a couple weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier. 2024 GT premium, A10 with Brembos and a Ford Performance Whipple. I am shocked at how quickly this car moves and how well it handles.

It’s like I got to copy and drastically improve my old ‘91 GT that I never should have sold. I think this one is a keeper!

That is sweet! It's ridiculous that you can't get magnaride on that car. I know you can play with the suspension. But on my car the magnaride is awesome. If I had the coin I would do a Whipple would be a beast. They could option that, but they didn't smh.

Beautiful car!

So did you have your dealer install the Whipple new before you took delivery?

Is your car a PP or does it have other mods, especially suspension?

What about wheels and tires?

This is going to be my daily driver. I mostly work from home, so when I do drive - I wanted something fun. I’m going to install a Stop the Hop kit and maybe upgrade the and tires.

I hear ya about PP and magnaride. My old S550 had it and my 1LE had the GM version. So far this thing rides great, no complaints at all. In fact, I felt that the magnaride was stiffer and a bit less comfortable (I’m getting older).

The car has a green sticker - so it was a special order. Dealer installed the supercharger for someone and I guess the deal fell through. I got lucky and picked it up already built. I can’t believe that you can buy a car with this much power off the lot, with a warranty.

It has the 20” wheels on it with 265 tires. My Camaro had 305’s, I’m thinking I need to upgrade these wheels and tires for sure.

Other than that, I’m just going to enjoy it as she was delivered. I’ve only driven it a couple of times until I paint correct tomorrow and get PPF installed on Wednesday.

asc709 I’d say you got something fun allright, without a doubt!

Just to make sure I understand, your car is not a PP or Magneride car, just the standard suspension with 20s and 265s, right? And I assume it has the standard 3.15 rear too then?

If that’s the case please tell us how the car contains the added power of the Whipple. I’ve wondered for a long time if a standard car could handle a mild to moderately tuned Whipple. Seems like as long as you stayed away from the strip and exercised common sense it’d be fine but I’ve never heard anyone say who has actually done it.

Correct. No PP, no magnetic suspension, long 3.15 gears out back. So far, so good. I like the long gears with this 10 speed. I wonder if I’d even be able to tell the difference between 3.15 and 3.55 with this much power. Tire spin is a problem, I will address that after some time in the car.

She is going to be a street cruiser, maybe a trip or two to the strip. I’m not a drag strip junkie and definitely not trying to get the best times I can out of her.

I usually drive my cars quite a bit and mod them over time.

I’ll be active in the forums - I’ve been driving and modding since the Fox days (hence my username) and the Mustang community has been the best so far. Don’t even get me started on the Vette community….

Wow, thank you. This is exactly what I was hoping to hear. My car sounds just like yours but has the 19x255 tires. I can’t imagine the contact patch is much different from your 20x265s so wheelspin should be about the same. Sounds like it’s manageable on the street if you don’t get too crazy.

Do you also have the active exhaust and if so has the Whipple had any negative effect on how it works?

I do have active exhaust and the only difference I can tell is that it sounds very mean compared to a stock car. It sounds like there’s so much pressure that the car is breathing hard. That”s the best I can explain it!
