I don’t get the Dark Horse vs. EcoBoost

To me an enthusiast is a person with a love of cars, all cars. A person you appreciates both the good and the bad. A person who rises above the BS, who doesn't need to look down on someone else's car if it is not as good as what they think they have.

And who are the wannabe's? Just look at the posters on this thread who believe it is 2015 all over again with negative the comments on the Ecoboost. It really is time to give it a rest.

I am reasonably certain that the ENTIRE point of this thread was pure, unadulterated satire. The current eco Mustang would have laid wasted to a Fox body or SN95 GT. It’s awesome, mkay?
GT is awesome too, but as we all know, the Dark Horse sucks because it can’t tow !

As someone who has a 2024 dark horse and a 2021 ecoboost there is quite a bit of difference....especially when you start the cars up

Well considering that most folks consider the DH as the rightful heir to the Mach 1, yes I would certainly consider it special. But models with unique packages, California Special, GT with Performance Pack 2, and the Ecoboost with the Performance and Handling Packages should also be considered special.

Some people are way too concerned about what other people think of their car. I bought a Mustang because I'm up in years and it has about the most power I'm sure I can safely handle. It is definitely fun to drive. I fail to understand why someone would gain satisfaction out of other people thinking their EcoBoot is a Dark Horse. They are both fun to drive; just completely different animals.

I think most of you are missing the point or you forgot the original post. I have a 24' GT black with stripes and I get asked if it is a dark horse constantly. If they knew anything about the car they would know

I was thinking about an EcoBoost. My car would look and drive fantastic and I would get a lot of compliments and people will often ask if it's a dark horse. I don't know if I could have got a DH last year which I doubt and if I did it probably would have been $60K more. I have 315 HP vs 500 and the tuning you get with the PP. So that's why I don't get the DH, enlighten me. I mean most people think our cars look the same.
