For all the standard BS reasons a lot of us S550 guys have been dissing the S650 I had convinced myself I’d be unlikely to ever buy one. This one proved me to be wrong the first minute I saw it online. Even my wife told me not to let it get away.

The screens (which I had cussed) in this car anyway is in fact one single integrated screen and looks pretty nice. Yeah I’d rather have gauges, switches and knobs but that ship has sailed boys and here we are. I think I’ll be just fine with it. Likewise the A.S.S. system doesn’t seem to operate in track mode, and I happen to live in track mode 100%. Problem solved. And I really love the new placement of the drive mode selector switches under my left thumb.

This car is very smooth and tight, and even at only 60 miles in track mode the A10 doesn’t seem the least bit confused or jerky. I haven’t gone around with a magnifying glass but the panel fit seems pretty good. The car handled pretty tight on the way home from the dealer and sounds spectacular.

I love the looks of this car. The combination of shadow black, bronze package and red Brembos really does it for me. It‘s been raining here ever since I picked it up yesterday so please forgive the recycled dealer pics. I figured they were better than nothing.

Hey, those dealer pics are higher quality than most of what I see from dealer sites. Good on them. And congratulations on your new GT!

Congrats, @young at heart. I brought my DH home in the rain, too.

Be sure to pick up a DIYVan kit to close off those open holes behind the front wheels before you put too many miles on her.

And unless you have a lift, jacking rails or pucks are a must. I did get the full-length Steeda rails. @tj@steeda can get you a 5% off code.

I second this recommendation as I have both the DIYVan kit and Steeda jacking rails.

Thanks guys!

I do actually have a lift so that helps a little.

Has Ford ever addressed the holes behind the front wheels? If there’s no legitimate reason for them to be there seems like they’d do a recall and fix it. I’d think it could cause all kinds of corrosion problems down the road.

There's a reason during the assembly process but it's weak on Ford's part to not close them after the usage is complete. There is plenty of chatter on the forum if you are interested, but at this time it seems unlikely Ford will change. I am planning to take care of mine this weekend but with a $5 DIY fix. If it works, I'll post details.

Its' been covered ad nauseum on the forums. That's why I suggested the DIYVan kit.

BTW: Recalls only apply to safety issues. This is not a safety issue.

It would help if they recognized whiney issues though
