I was thinking the same thing but I had a light bulb moment and wondered if they considered that now its 2025 (and we are still waiting on our 24.5 car’s) they consider them to be 12 months old already and have applied depreciation to the agreed value.

NRMA seem to offer the best deal in my case - Agreed value of $91K, <5000Ks p/a, $1,000 Excess, No Peak Hr Driving, No Finance on Vehicle.

New Car Replacement up to THREE Years.
Options: No Excess on Glass & Fault or No Fault Hire Car until Repaired.

$1,300.56 p/a or $108.38 p/m

You could be correct, although I think it is from either the Aust' Compliance date - or First Rego.

In addition, the Agreed Val is effective form the date of your Insurance Contract.

I think I'm somehow getting screwed by NRMA, might have to call them to see what's going on cause my options and excess closely match yours.

No good getting screwed - especially financially.

I probably should have also mentioned - the car is in Secure Parking, and used for private purposes only (not to or for work), I am the only Driver (no-one <55 yrs), and 10% on-line Discount factored.

it goes even further than that. Where your house is in the street will impact the premium. e.g. on a corner. It’s all about the algorithms used to calculate risk.

So I ended up going with NRMA.

Costing $2100/annum with all options ticked, sometimes wish I was over 55

Surprisingly only $500/annum more expensive than the POS Honda I currently drive, however I was probably getting ripped off by Youi for that car.

Still cheaper than my Mrs, she's a had a few bingles in the last couple of years and as a result she's not a listed driver of the Stang!

Ha, by her own admission she doesn't want to drive it and potentially scratch it, so yes she is 'banned" at her request (and my relief).
