I guess my main gripe with this color is that nothing about this yellow metallic paint looks "Intense" or "Lime". That said, I'm more of a dark green/pearl white metallic person. šŸ˜…
So you don’t like the name of it or what it looks like… got it.šŸ˜‚

IMHO Mustang colors are terrible. Someone in the FORD design team must love primer since most FORD colors are a shade of primer.
The blues and grays are boring!
A Mustang is a sportscar. Give it an exciting color or MAKE THEM ALL BLACK!!!!!!

i agree, someone at Ford does not like fun colors. here is what i think Ford should do
keep all the current colors.
give us Velocity Blue, Ruby Red, Eruption Green, Hot Pepper Red, Darkened Bronze, Azure Grey, Antimatter Blue, Grabber Yellow, Star White, Space Silver, Glacier Grey, and Agate Black from the existing Ford vehicles.
bring back Yellow Splash, Twister Orange, Code Orange, Mischievous Purple, and Grabber Lime from previous years.
bring over Sedona Orange, Light Grape, and Mean Green from overseas.
that way, you have 4 reds, 3 oranges, 3 yellows, 3 greens, 5 blues, 2 purples, 2 whites, 2 blacks, 1 brown, 2 silvers, and 2 greys

They can't give us a nice real or purple, something that would actually appeal to a lot of people. Instead, they give us different kinds of yellows which has a much smaller audience.

I would have never bought a yellow car, but the deal was too good to pass up. The car was optioned exactly the way I would have built it and it was available during covid with no markup. When the delivery truck pulled up with my car on it I was pleasantly surprised. I hadn't seen that tone of yellow before. Some people hate it, but I get a lot of compliments on the color (Grabber Yellow). That said, it's my first yellow car and will probably be the last.

I am not a yellow or lime green fan by any stretch, but this color could look really good as a RTR Spec 2. Imagine it with the suspension lowering kit, RTR body kit, RTR wheels, and the graphics with the duck bill spoiler. Give it an angle kit and some negative camber and you've got a eye catching ride that can do some really fun stuff. I don't think anyone who buys this should keep it stock, though. This color begs to be modified.

Does no-one here remember the model T? Any color you wanted as long as it was black!

There is a cost issue here too. Old Henry did the black thing because it was cheap thus lowering the price. Imagine offering all those colors listed above? It amazes me seeing all the colors Ford already paints vehicles!

I love the black color on a Mustang. When its clean. Which is almost never.

Here are the side-by-side pictures directly from their website. Unretouched aside from resizing.

The 2024 Yellow Splash is far more "Intense" than the 2025 Intense Lime Yellow Metallic. I agree that there are way, WAY too few bright colors available for this car. It's a performance vehicle. It should shout "Look at me!". The vast majority of the colors we're left with are dull, family sedan hues. (I love the Race Red, but I've had it on my last two Mustangs going back 15 years. I'm getting tired of it. And I just can't like the Grabber Blue, as hard as I try. Too much of a baby blue, or as someone else put it "gender reveal blue").

I'm rather miffed with Ford right now. I ordered my 2024 Yellow Splash convertible at the end of July. I've gotten several of the once-every-45-days notices that they're still trying to work up an assembly date for it. I've also been told that despite no outright declaration that they're cancelling my order (it still shows "good" in their system to this day), they aren't making any more 2024's. And folks who ordered 2025's a month or two after me are already driving their cars around.

So my dealer called me in to re-order it as a 2025. $4000 extra with fewer options, and I can't even get my color. I have to get black (I swore I'd never own another black car!) and have it wrapped a respectable performance car color. Another $3000-$4000. (Not to mention I already purchased several aftermarket add-ons with the yellow in mind).

Thanks, Ford. (I don't suppose anyone has insight into this sort of situation... is it even slightly possible I can still get my Yellow Splash in any year? Do I have any recourse, or am I totally out of luck?)

Anyway, rant over. Enjoy the side-by-sides. Bright, sunny convertible yellow vs. drab, dingy used diaper yellow. It's a travesty if you ask me.
