Thanks. I'll admit I got "one-guy"-ed (letting the one negative comment get to me amidst the multiple posts with positive/helpful feedback---but to be fair Zengineer had good points too), and now I'm just trying to make sure the rest of my posts don't have any incriminating information about my whereabouts, whenabouts, and whoabouts. I'm still sticking around here, but I'm just going to make a far better effort to be more cautious about what I post.
All good here, we all share a common love for the Stang, you are amongst friends. You know what they say about opinions... everybody's got one.

You had a valid post that received some good advice and some fun, take it all in stride. In the end you have to do what YOU feel is best in your situation, and then live and learn. Life in a nutshell.

Boost - don’t stress. Tbh if you’ve got any social media accounts there’s more than enough to find out just about anything, and some say even if you don't but if you have ‘friends’ that do ….

just because some rando posts something on a website doesn’t make it true, for all anyone knows your story could be research. It’s the panic that reveals the truth.

It’s almost a study in human behavior. As an example. I heard a story about a individual that had an opportunity to gain wisdom from peers but the backstory lead to questions since it seemed to take another path. Somtimes boys live with the parents and sometimes girls. Life lessons are learned in a variety of ways but do guard your innocence like the precious gift that it is.

doesn't sound like you heard the advise from more than just that "one guy". Good luck with your decisions, whatever they may be.

Please tell me how to delete this thread, have the mods delete this thread, or just have me delete all my posts. I will not compromise my identity any further than I already have. Thank you.
Wouldn't deleting this thread be a detriment to others who have the same questions about financing and credit? Why not just leave it here so someone else can search and find the suggestions/opinions found here that could help someone else? You can control your notification settings/email settings and you can control your will to click on this thread. It's an internet forum - people are going to disagree! We're humans.

Just leave it be so the people who took the time to try to help out can at least have a shot of being read by someone else. There's a lot of great people here with a wide range of special skills and knowledge. I've learned a lot and made my Mustang better thanks to all of the people who shared their experiences.

I wouldn't be concerned about previous posts or this thread. You asked a question, got both insight and perspective. Overall, it was a win.

On the topic of security, not listing personal information (people photos, license plates, address, landmarks, businesses, etc.) is generally all that's necessary. A strong account password, separate from any other accounts and passwords is a good idea.

Googling and not finding specific information happens. While there is a wealth of information available, sometimes it's difficult to find it. One or two keyword changes can make a huge difference. It depends on the topic, how that information has been posted, memory and experience of the Googler. You'll notice we sometimes have the same topics being discussed, here and at 6G.

As to the living situation, housing in many parts of the country is becoming more unaffordable, to a lot of people. Several young people (High School to College) in my area often will live under one roof of one house, splitting the rent. College grads can secure an apartment, which takes a fair chunk of their pay, making it difficult to save for a mortgage and a house. Bidding wars involving multiple buyers is common in several locations.

And, sometimes life takes us on paths we weren't considering before. One of my neighbors works from home, lives with her extended family and looks after them. Another neighbor (single parent, employed), his Mom lives with him (or he lives with her) along with a grandchild.

Saying that, I do feel financial independence is something we should all be striving towards. It's comforting to realize you have options and a greater amount of control over a given situation, come what may. But achieving that independence is not quick, or a straight line. Long-term goals, sacrifice, perspective and persistence are necessary.

Regarding any feedback received, sometimes that can be positive, others, a slap in the face. IMO, reinforcement or self-reflection are both net positives.

At 18 I got a full time night shift job, shared a rented apartment, drove a $1500 1973 Monte Carlo ...
My first car was a 1974 Monte Carlo. White with a burgundy interior. I do miss that car!

Bought a 75 Monty in 1977, shortly after joining the military. Bronze brown, camel interior and....the swiveling Strato bucket seats, they were soooo cool. Wanted a SS Monty (454) wbut they were unicorns.

I'm okay now that I've gotten some rest from yesterday. Thank you again for your patience with me.

Yesterday's personal scare aside, I learned from another thread that the 3.15 gearing suits my style of driving (city and highway) better than the 3.55. From test drive experience coming from a casual, I didn't notice a significant difference between the two ratios besides one run with a GT Premium with the 20" wheel setup---that one felt sluggish from standstill in Normal drive mode, but that could be personal bias in play since I found the ride more harsh and less assuring than the non-PP 18"/19" setup.

I did some research on New Edge GTs and determined if a new S650 GT falls through, a project New Edge GT might be worth considering. This would be the one route where I could see myself keeping the EcoBoost for the immediate future and the long haul. But there are major concerns for me taking this route...mainly that I'm not remotely mechanically inclined nor particularly patient with anything requiring handyman skills (just being honest), and that I'd be worried about buying a money pit just to fix/overhaul the internal stuff.

This is where I'm at today. I'll still stick around and contribute when and where I can.

(Worse comes to worse, I can just go to Original Option 2, get a new Prius, and baffle virtually everyone who's followed me up to this point...and I'd still find ways to enjoy driving it like a Mustang! 😝)

From a daily driving aspect, there will be no appreciable difference between a 3.15 and a 3.55. When you start picking up the pace doing spirited driving, there will be some (positive) bias towards the 3.55.

Of course. It's just my idea of spirited driving is going 5 mph over the speed limit and taking curves more aggressively than at daily driving pace (and not necessarily at the same time).

That you can and SHOULD fix.

As far as driving aggressively, add 20mph to the posted suggested curve speed.
Oh, i thought the rule was recommended double
