Liking this new, rapid red mettalic/gray with bronze package, auto, 3:55, dual mode exhaust, b&O, stickering at near 58K. Have not seen one like it. I know prices have escalated but this is making me wince. I'd be selling my 2010 Shelby and regular car to swing it. What do you think ? Would you suggest looking at another year ? What's your opinion of new prices ? Thanks.

I enjoy my 24 every time I drive it. Just make sure the car is optioned the way you want. I used cargurus.com to determine market rate and negotiate. Good luck.

Here's an answer. In July 2024, I traded my 2008 Shelby for a 2024 GT Premium, Shadow Black/Charcoal Interior, Bronze Package, A-10 Auto, Variable Exhaust, Brembo Brake Package. My car was a bit over $56K MSRP. No cost paint, no 3:55 rear axle.
I have about 500 miles on the car at this point. Checking the FORD website, the same car in 2025 will be nearly $4K more.
To date, I like my GT. Performance isn't much different than the Shelby. Ride and handling are so much better. Exhaust sound is better. Seats are more comfortable. The A-10 Auto is excellent. So far gas mileage around town with a few short trips id 18-20 on regular 87. Sadly, you don't get the crazy blower whine!
The car can be a street racer or a daily driver. Other than the crazy dash, I really like the car. I hate the A/C and Heater controls. The dash is too busy to adjust and drive the car safely. I still like an analog dash and some buttons, but that's me. Having owned 8 Mustangs since 1990, I can say this is the best one so far. IMHO, they are overpriced and aren't getting any cheaper. It's just how bad you want a new car with a three-year warranty. At this point, I don't miss my Shelby. Good luck with your decision.

with the 25's coming up soon, I would expect at least 5K off. 6 or 7 would be better. You can get that price if you look at some MD and VA dealers.

make the best deal on the 24, that 3 stage red goes away in 2025 and is replaced with another red that is $500 more

That car in a 2025 model year is probably going to be at least 4 grand more MSRP if not higher

Local Northern Virginia dealers are offering $6,500 off MSRP. Here is an example in similar price range.
https://www.koonssterlingford.com/new-Sterling-2024-Ford-Mustang-GT+Premium-1FA6P8CF2R5414441
The MSRP is $52,105.00 on the sticker

The dealer is claiming the MSRP is $54,100

So right off the bat you know they are f*cking you over by playing numbers games PLUS they are going to bend you over for a $899 doc fee which is obscene

They want 47.6, so you are only saving $4505, and then they are taking back $899 of that on the doc fee.

$4000 is your "savings" if you knock the rip off doc fee down to a reasonable level and pay 48K for the car out the door.

4K off MSRP as the 2025's are about to be made....

As I have said before, if you are looking for a Ford, and are not spending the $35 to become a member of MCA so you can get an X Plan discount after 90 days you are nuts.

The first thing you are going to do is knock that $899 doc fee down to about $200 by buying X Plan, the rest is is 98.6% of invoice for the car, plus the shipping charge.

The invoice prices for 2024's are here on this forum if you look for them, you can figure out what invoice is, and even at invoice they are making holdback and incentives.

That specific listing had a typo. However, there are others with $6,500 off. Someone could get an additional $750 for college graduate or another factory discount. Plus a little bit of negotiation to get most of the processing fee off. Anyway, here is the correct example.

If you want an S650, I'd suggest going ahead and getting a '24 ASAP. With the '25s coming up, you'll be able to get a great deal- probably ~5-6K off MSRP.

Also, the '25 MY has several pitfalls compared to the '24:
- Rapid Red is gone & is replaced with a duller red that costs an additional $500
- The wireless charger was removed for seemingly no reason
- The B&O system is no longer included in the 401A High Package and costs an additional $995
- All options (Active Valve Exhaust, Magneride, Performance Pack, etc.) are more expensive
- The base MSRP has increased

All in all, you'd likely end up paying around $5K more for a '25 MY than you would for an identical spec '24, not to mention the fact that you'd lose the wireless charging and the ability to get the color you like.

if you’re financing, the cut rate APR deals until 9/30 save thousands over current interest rates as well.

My car is similar. Performance pack GT premium, Rapid red, auto, Night pony package, active exhaust, magneride, recaros. Sticker was 63. I ended up getting it for 58. I don’t drive it much but when I do I’m all smiles. Super fun . If you like it I’d say go for it. Like everyone else mentioned. Prices will continue to go up.

Honestly... Other than make the battery charge indicator light up, it doesn’t really do anything ;-)
I’ve used it a few times for up to an hour+ - so say 70 minutes-ish. No change in charge status.
It’s got to be in just the right spot for it to “work” but the one in my Mustang is a non functioning gimmick.

It probably needs a better quality charger apparatus but that’s a tomorrow problem. I don’t often charge the phone in the car anyway.
