Hi All, Looking for suggestions on a business that can paint brake calipers in Charlotte, NC. I know almost any body shop can do this, looking for suggestions on a good experience, happy with the results and price. TIA

Your calipers will almost certainly need media blasting to get the OEM powder coating off them. Then for longevity; powder coating them a color of your choice would be FAR better than "painting".

I'm fairly sure that process would involve a total disassembly of the calipers prior to media blasting, THOROUGH cleaning afterwards to remove any media; powder coating, then baking, then reassembly, then putting them back on the car, bleeding the brake system, etc.

In short; NOT a quick and easy task.

There are caliper "paint kits" on the market that allow the owner/designee to DIY a new color. But, my impression of the ones I've seen is they're intended for people with unpainted calipers that might need "derusting" prior to painting, and not media blasting to get rid of a factory finish.

If I were you; I'd try running an online search for for powder coating services in your area (as a starting point/referral service to a more specialized refinishing vendor), and asking around at car dealers, parts dealers, tuning/performance shops etc. Might get you a word of mouth referral to what your looking for.

Best of luck finding a shop to "git 'er done" for you!

Thank you for your input. I'll research a local powder coating company as you suggest.

Powder coating is the way to go. Much more durable than paint. The only downside is that you have to take them apart and then reassemble them. I've had the calipers powder coated on several of my cars.

If you haven't done it yet, Rimguard in Raleigh can powdercoat for you. They do incredible work and have a lot of options color wise.
