Hi all,

Looking to lose my Mustang v-card here in the near future and am looking at 60th anniversary convertible in race red. For those who have ordered them (60th or standard GT prems) - were you able to get dealers to agree to X-Plan or a similar discount/invoice pricing up front? I am thinking about joining the MCA but not sure if the build will be completed by the time I get the code after 90 days. Thanks for any insights!

Ordering is free without deposit, you can always use X-plan, not sure if all dealers can deny, there might be someone looking sell with it, so place orders with dealers after they agree to support X-plan pricing

I can only speak to my experience with a previous X plan order and my recent Z plan 2025 GT Vert order. Typically, the dealership does not haggle outside those plans or on orders of desirable cars. They do still make money from Ford on plan orders, but they understand the potential to make more off a typical sale. Purely my experience.

For your planning purposes, I ordered my 2025 GT Vert fully loaded on 12 Oct 24 and got a build date of 9 Dec.

Hope this helps

Only 148 allocated to the 400+ Canadian dealers. Was able to order one, but only at full MSRP. That whole supply and demand thing.

trust me if you ordered the car today you will not see it in 90 days.

There are too many orders in the system already plus parts shortages.

Spend the $35 dollars, get the code, then negotiate your best price on the car

If you look around here you will find a thread that has all the pricing info for 2025, including invoice cost

It is pretty easy to figure out what the X plan price will be before you go in.

Remember the X plan limits the "DOC" fee a dealer can charge, so compare apples to apples and look at the bottom line out the door price.

You may not think the X plan price for the car is great, but if you save $700 or more on the DOC fee you might change your mind

Wow, that's quick build date! Thanks - very helpful. Thinking that if I want to go the order route I'll just have to try to get an X-Plan code and if it's built before I can negotiate at that point or just bite the bullet and pay MSRP.

Ask the dealer if they will do an X plan, they may not

Have one dealer that said they'd do X-plan on it, so hopefully the sales person was informed she seemed a little unfamiliar with her own product lol

I just don`t understand why a dealership won`t honor X-plan. From my understanding the money comes from Ford. Only reason why I would think a dealership won`t want to do it is because maybe it takes a lot of time to receive the money or something.
