true, but I think the retro style was the right move at that time. The market was ripe for it. Not so much today. A modern design with the defining pony car elements youdescribe are likely the order of the day in 2024.When the 2005 model was proposed, then Chairman Bill Ford said people want to buy a classic styled Mustang that only cost $20K. Now with the new 2024 Mustang the only things classic about it, will be a long hood; sloping windshield, and tri-bar taillights. Everything else will have a modern touch to it and will cost over $30K.
styles are funny like that. Whether it cars, clothing, music, graphic design, etc. a style can be all the rage and then no one wants it. 10 - 20 years later, it’s fire again.
