the steering wheel sign in dash indicates the current steering mode, the one in your picture is "comfort" mode iirc

Steering on the lightest setting
When I choose the mode from the screen, it appears without the leaf, and when I choose the mode from the steering wheel button, it appears like this

Not sure why that would be the case as the modes should be the same however you choose them. I assume you have 'comfort' steering in your custom mode?

just tried with mine, here's how I think it works:
the screen selects which custom mode, the steering wheel buttons activate custom mode

if custom mode is activated, changing mode on the screen also changes signs (steering, etc.) in the dash

If not, e.g. steering wheel buttons selected Normal mode, changing mode on the screen does not change current driving mode including steering

Thanks really appreciate 🙏 , that's really helpful

Ahh yes you can only select one custom mode from the steering wheel buttons - it tells you which in the driver display with a little number.
