I concur, however, I must admit that I got spoiled with our mild winter last year when I was able to drive her at least a few days per month on reasonable days to take her out. This year, she's been in the Garage since mid-November and short of starting her every few weeks, it's killing me to not have driven her for nearly 2 months. She's undercover so I don't have to see that sad face every time I walk past her to drive one of the "winter vehicles". :)
I feel your pain just renewed my yearly insurance as I picked up my Dark Horse up Jan 12, 2024. but like you my car is sitting in it's heated garage for the next two months until they stop spraying the roads. With bryin and salt. Up here in Canada I maybe get 5 months of driving time. I put 4000 kilometers on it in one year and that was all sunny day driving. I am just patient and waiting for the good days.

Interesting thread. FWIW I LOVE my s650. Last fun car was a 2003 GT Vert Centennial. Loved that car and gave it to my son with 225k miles on it running perfectly. I've had my share of family trucksters. Caravans which ran fine up until my 2012 T&C which was a money pit. Tranny, every other part you can imagine and finally the dual stage oil pump embedded in the bowels of the motor had issues switching into high pressure mode. Sold to Carmax and never looked back... So 1 out of 3 was a lemon. Typical I suspect.. Older family hauler was a 92 Caprice, the whale tail model. Ugly as sin but ran 450k without major problems and was white so cop tires, cop wheels etc... Fun to drive and watch people move out of the way.. Last check the 350 is still running at almost 600k miles. All cars have issues. BTW I love my 2024 s650.. Compliments every where I go and a blast for the 64yo to drive.

In fairness to newer model minivans, the decently optioned ones are rather expensive. They used to be cheap family vehicles 20 years ago but nowadays they might as well be sold as an entry level luxury vehicle.

I bought my 2024 GT (premium, performance, active exhaust, etc..) six months ago, which has completely exceeded my expectations. Back in the 1980s, I purchased a brand-new fox body 1984 GT—the first year they brought back the 4-barrel carburetor—and absolutely loved that car. In 1985, I started a family, and after 40 years (and a few caravans along the way), my kids are all grown, and I’m enjoying my Mustang GT now more than ever—even more than I did in my 20s.
I had a loaded Mustang, Black on Black convertible,1988, and I loved it! Now, at 80 years old, I decided I needed a loaded 2024 Mustang GT convertible, except for the seats. I like the stock seats that are heated and cooled.
This is WAAYYYY better than the 88. I LOVE IT! only 1300 miles.
(Winter storage in climate climate-controlled building).
3 Synthetic oil changes later, I am ready to PUSH it a bit. It is very QUICK! I got the Automatic, bad left knee.
FUN CAR! Got it Ceramic coated over the Winter.
I am a happy senior!

The Shine looks great. Do you know what kind of Ceramic they used on it?
