401A esquipment group you mean right? I guess you have lighted door sills, that's how you check if you hage that package. Oh, and also turn signals in the side mirrors.
No, it's 400A, no lighted door sills or blinker on side mirrors

I'm with roadpilot here, a BT connection to the XM app is the way to go if you have an unlimited data plan. You can also use literally any other music app you like.
I like SiriusXM because I listen to a lot of talk radio during my ~2 hours of daily commute time. I only listen to music when I get tired of the talking heads. I've been a SiriusXM subscriber since before Sirius and XM merged.

That said, the SiriusXM receiver that's in the vehicle seems to be more consistent than relying on the phone app.

OK then. Do you have a premium model with the 400A group? If you do, you should have XM radio.
Agree. From the ford.com build site for 2025:

I just found out that I have 18" wheels (that's fine with me), but that seems to confirm that I don't have the Sirius option group. Fooey on me :(

SO -- anyone know whether taking the car to a Ford dealer is a practical idea? Options include, "Oh, we don't do that," or "Sure, that'll be $3k." or "Sure leave the car here" and later find that they've screwed something up.

I just bought a '25 GT500. It has the 400 option package, but it doesn't have satellite radio. :frown:

So what's the best way to get this? Buy proper electronics from a Ford dealer and have him install it? Go to a car stereo store and try to find an acceptable upgrade? Maybe access a Sirius App on my iPhone?

Additionally, it doesn't have the Nav package. I'd like to have it, but this may not be very important since I can easily access the Google map on my iPhone.

I'd want the satellite option to work just as it would if the car came with it.

You'll have to excuse me now while I go kick myself for not realizing this before I bought. I've not run into a quality car that wasn't equipped with Sirius!
I think your best bet would just get an aftermarket stereo/digital media with wireless CarPlay or Android Auto, just make sure it’s one with a built in Satellite radio adapter or buy one to install with.

Ignore my last message! I thought you were talking an older GT500 model. I missed the year and that you meant GT. I have no idea what you could do.

Yes, GT not GT500. Sorry.

New or used, one screen or two?

Wow, you really have no idea what you bought. You have a base 300A car. At this point, there is no way for you to affordably "add" XM to your car. There was a suggestion earlier to get an external XM radio kit. That would seem to be the way to go.

either it's a 301A/400A that has XM hardware but needs activation/subscription
or a 300A which doesn't have a XM receiver

Why do I feel as if two different accounts are posting as if they are the OP?
