Ok, we resolved the blank right screen issue earlier this week with a reset. Now, today it says steering assist fault service required and lane departure not working even though it’s activated. Anyone have any idea on what would cause this and a solution? Thanks in advance.

when this happens, what if you turn off the car and restart it. do the faults go away? check your torque sensor. it can trigger the steering assist fault. good luck.

Well, now it was working this evening after driving the car for a few minutes. When we first started driving, I checked the voltage on the dash and was somewhere just under 13 volts. I believe that is a little low for a running vehicle. This evening after driving it for - good 30 minutes the voltage is above 13. It should be above 14 while running if I’m not mistaken so maybe the battery is a little in the low side.

well with electric power steering and the computer using the electric power steering motor to do lane centering/departure, if the voltage is low the computer might disable it as a CYA safety measure.

My brothers Honda had the front bumper replaced, when the tech plugged in the ambient air temp sensor one of the pins got damaged.

Ok big deal no thermometer on the dashboard right?

Noooo... all sorts of features including the auto start/stop need to see a ambient temperature and in a certain range to work... his dashboard was lit up like a Christmas tree with all the system disabled warnings from a single seemingly innocuous sensor not being seen by the computers

I've had P030X /P0300 codes also disable lane centering and lane departure features.

I know many cars get finicky when voltage starts to drop even if it’s still in the good range. That’s what I’m hoping is happening here. The car seldomly drives long distance. Most 30 minutes or less drives and sits sometimes for 3-4 days.
