Thank you @stang2b

I decided to try again and I successfully installed my DAR gloss black spoiler. Drilled holes in the locations @stang2b provided. Looks very good. I am happy with it.

I called George at DAR and told him he would have a perfect product if the holes were in the right place. He agreed and asked for the measurements, so I sent him the photos of the measurements on this forum. I told him this was the only reason people were hesitating on buying this spoiler was the holes not aligning. He said they would update the product with these measurements soon. He also said the convertible version of this spoiler is online and available; they had a convertible in house a few days ago to test with.

This turned out really good. Looks terrific. Can't wait to see what one of these looks like on a convertible. If they get the holes lined up I may be interested.

Not sure if anyone who ordered before the week of July 4th (around June 29th), has received any updates? I ordered then and haven't heard anything, planning on reaching out soon since I believe it's been long enough to have passed their in house turn around time. Not sure if it's possible they paused to fix the bolt alignment like I saw mentioned in another comment.

Regardless, I still really want the spoiler, I personally think it looks better than the Dark Horse Clone spoilers going around, although those are much cheaper and the gloss one might look nicer than the matte one.

Call the phone number at the top of the DAR website and ask to speak to George. He's very helpful in answering any burning questions you have about the product or order updates. I believe the phone number ends in 1803.

Not exactly a happy update, but I think mine came in a little warped. Not sure if anyone else experience this, but the two wings that get bolted down do not want to sit flush. The edge towards the back is popping up while the edge towards the front of the car sits down, causing a maybe quarter to half inch gap from being flush, and the force is actually causing the bolts to strip a bit. Not sure if anyone has any suggestions.

From my perspective, my options are as follows:

1. Try and return it. In my opinion I'd prefer not to do this. It looks really nice and for the most part is sitting on it. I'm also not sure how much flex they have in denying a return due to alignment issues. Also would require re-aligning old blade spoiler and getting new 3M.

2. Self-fixes. This would include possibly getting a bigger sheet of 3m adhesive (not sure if anyone knows if they make bigger size sheets, rather than tape roll size pieces) to help make the gap between the hood and the wing smaller, requiring less force to get it flush. Also, possibly a bigger lag bolt to try and fix the stripping issue, and using some loctite to ensure tight fitment.

I am welcome to any and all suggestions! I really want to make this one work, and I'm really disappointed in the spoilers QC. It seems others had some success, even with a little work, but the alignment on mine seems so off that I'm not sure how to approach it.

Yes, mine came in a bit warped in the shipping box they send. I used some heat to bend it back into place. Once I got it bolted in, I left it out in the sun to help it flatten out on the sides and fix the warp.

I think part of my problem was also trying to use their drilled holes, it looked on the surface like they were aligned much better but I think they might have just been off by enough that its causing it to not seat properly.

Okay, final update. I am looking to start the return process. I know they claim no refunds but the product is completely unusable in the state they sent it over. I'm unsure of how to proceed if they decline the refund, and I don't think getting another one will solve my issues. I know charge backs exist but I've never done it and I'm a little worried about that.

Hoping to hear good news, but I cannot in good faith recommend this product if this is the level of QC given. Completely disappointed.

I understand your pain. I was pretty frustrated with the amount of work I had to do to get mine to fit. It certainly didn't seem 2024+ ready. I heavily considered calling and asking for a return label but I knew they probably wouldn't since their website says no refunds. I went back to the drawing board, took a trip to Autozone and luckily I got mine to fit with the help of some buddies. The finish of the product is great, but yes, mount and mounting points could be so much better. Hopefully they stand by their product and help you out in some way.

I've had a similar experience on my end. Ordered at the beginning of July, received and installed about a week ago. I had the factory spoiler delete option, so lining up with factory holes was not a requirement for me as I knew I'd be drilling new holes regardless. There were 2 holes on each side of the spoiler when it arrived, one larger with the screw in it, and one smaller next to it which aligned more closely with where the factory holes would be. After measuring 3 times to make sure everything was perfectly centered, I drilled my holes lined up with the smaller of the two holes as that made access from underneath the trunk/decklid easier to attach. With the spoiler perfectly centered on the car, those holes came through on the underside of the trunk in slightly different positions, so I don't know that I'd trust them to be perfectly aligned to the factory holes if you already have those. With the screws tightened down as far as I was comfortable (didn't want to over-torque and strip the pre-drilled holes) there was a very small gap on the left and right sides where the spoiler didn't quite sit flush with the trunk. I went and got some black silicone and covered up those gaps, and am pretty happy with how that turned out.

Overall I'm very happy with the look of how it turned out given the price. But the install was a little more involved than I would have liked and the fitment wasn't perfect.
