Yes, that’s been mentioned before but what does that have to go with my post? A Z06 is not a ZR1.

Because those saw markups for a short time but then it stopped. Why wouldn't it be any different with the ZR1?

you always have the big hype at first. Dealers love that opportunity to rip people off. But then the hype dissipates and rational thinking kick in. And the dealers realize the suckers either got ripped again or could never afford it. Then the lot gets full and the discounts pour in.

But that’s never going to happen with the GTD. The GTD, like the GT will appreciate over the years while the ZR1 will most likely depreciate.

And unfortunately still gets it’s butt kicked.

if I were a collector I’d care more about resale.

mid course the Gtd won’t be on lots. They are only msking a small amount.

but when i buy a performance car, I want to get the most performance possible for the money.

There is no better value than the zr1 in that regard. It casts less AND goes quicker and faster? Yes please - said everyone ever.

Of course you find the most expensive to make your point. But there far more out there at lower prices.

I found the first one with super low miles on it. Because nobody is going to drive the GTD either. Best comparison IMO

The second and third cars in your link have 5k and 7k miles on them, and are still $40k and $50k above original MSRP.

It’s a rad car. I’d just hate to spend an extra 100k on a car that has less power, goes slower, likely handles worse, and looks about the same in a ratings scale (subjective of course. Some love it. Some don’t).

I certainly wouldn’t be upset seeing it in my garage. I just wouldn’t want to pay thst much when I could swing a better sports car for a lot less.
