I just got back with my car after running it at The FIRM in Starke, Florida. The car held up great in the morning. In the afternoon after 10 laps (15 minutes) I got a warning the axle temp was high and to reduce speed. After letting it cool down I went back out and made it another 5 laps before I got the same warning. Temperature was 91 degrees per the Dragy app.

Here are the highest temperatures I saw:
Cylinder Head - 231
Engine Oil - 276
Transmission - 221
Axle - 300 (car gave a warning temp was high and to slow down)

Hereā€™s a video with my best run. Please be kind with the comments. This was my first time ever on a track in anything but a go cart. šŸ˜‚
Looks like a blast!

Is that an app for the video youā€™re running? Very nice!

Itā€™s Dragy Lap. I didnā€™t even think about it until I got down there and someone said something about Dragy, and sure enough there was a track app. It worked pretty well.

PP
Awesome! Iā€™ll have to check my Dragy now. lol.
Daytona is September 19
Just got it. Thanks!

300 kinda high, does pp includes axle cooler? Or it is only DH? I think you can have one from steeda or from other after market companies if you plan to racetrack it more :)

The PP doesnā€™t have a differential cooler. I plan to add one before the next track day.

I agree I donā€™t see it get past 240-250 very much. I was looking around and it looks like the NON PP have an Engine Intake Manifold Runner Solenoid on the oil filter adapter and the PP oil filter adapter doesnā€™t have that.
Thank you for pointing that out. I was looking into getting the PP oil cooler as well. Glad I didn't pull the trigger. I would imagine you could still go with it but also need to do the IMRC delete.

I've had some back and forth with MMR about their cooler. Apparently they are just waiting on brackets and then they can sell the kits.

I was doing the research and you can 100% add on a PP oil cooler to the non PP

I actually got Under my car and looked at the oil adapter and I donā€™t have the imrc Solenoid so Iā€™m almost positive that the performance pack Oil cooler is a direct bolt on and would 100% work. The only reason why I said that that solenoid was there was because of the diagram on the parts site. The blue Circle is where it should be and itā€™s not there the sensor above it is the oil pressure sender

I got under my car and confirmed mine is the same as yours. This is good news.

After seeing my oil temp on my base GT go to 230 in 70 degree weather (driving steadily around 80 on the freeway) ā€¦ I took a deeper look.
There are two part numbers for the ā€œadaptor oil filterā€œ :
Performance pack - PR3Z6881C ($933)
Less performance pack - PR3Z6881B ($287)
They are very different. The less PP adaptor leaves the filter kind of protruding out. The PP adaptor has the filter sandwiched between the housing of the adapter.
