Official ATLAS BLUE Mustang S650 Thread

It’s mostly been chilling in the garage as we are in the middle of this heat dome thing in the Midwest where it’s still hot even at night. It’s finally ending tomorrow so I’m hoping to get a lot more drive time and pictures tomorrow.

Good lord that looks amazing - beautiful! I believe you have convinced me to go for Atlas Blue. Still on the fence with the brembos. Are the standard brakes similar color to the wheels? Do you think the red brembos work well with the vehicle color?

Glad I ordered Atlas Blue. Thought about rapid red metallic, but thought that would just be a pick me up red for the cops. Scheduled build 10/2

Thank you! I’m loving it and so are other people when I park it. I ordered the day order banks opened and there wasn’t a proper build and price tool at the time so I couldn’t see what anything looked like really. I selected red just for a little contrast and I feel like it’s the traditional Brembo color to try to establish street cred at a glance. I’m happy with how it turned out and a pleasant surprise was that it complements the red dot on the 5.0 badge. I’m not not sure what color the standard brakes are. This is the only picture I could find of S650 brakes but they are all Brembo.

That's very helpful thanks. I'm virtually certain the standard GT Premium brakes are the center silver ones that say Mustang. I'll need to see an example or two in person to make up my mind. It's a fairly expensive option that I would literally just be getting for color. I don't plan to track this car so the performance improvements probably won't mean much to me. Good point about the red matching the 5.0 dot. It's little details that matter to us enthusiasts. Enjoy that car and post some more pics when you get past that heat wave!

You know, I've never talked to a police officer who gave a bleep about the color of a car. The attitude is always "I don't have to single anybody out in order to make as many stops as I have to on any given day." I dunno, maybe it's a different situation in less heavily populated places...*

Took delivery yesterday of my GT in Atlas Blue! I've already put nearly 100 miles on it haha, here are some pictures I've taken and a good friend with his professional camera! Absolutely loving the car, and I just wanted to share it with you guys!

Thanks man. The weather is really angering me. We have been in this record breaking "heat dome" every day since I took delivery Wednesday. It was supposed to be borderline nice Saturday and super nice Sunday and now they changed it to rain both days. It was supposed to be beautiful this morning so I woke up early instead of sleeping in on my day off and I woke up to it thunder storming. I have been watching the weather like a hawk since I took delivery and honestly they can't even accurately predict the weather 12 hours out unfortunately. Maybe I will drive it backwards a whole 4 feet today and organize the garage instead

It was supposed to be borderline nice Saturday and super nice Sunday and now they changed it to rain both days. It was supposed to be beautiful this morning so I woke up early instead of sleeping in on my day off and I woke up to it thunder storming. Yeah 115 is up there. Great picture. Looks great from that angle too. I just saw a S550 yesterday with what I believe is the same color blue and it's really striking. One day it shall be mine...

Not usually a fan of stripes, but I really like the stripes on that last one. Anyone know which those are?

If you go build one on ford website, go to to stripes and it will show you. I can’t remember which it was
