Mine came in yesterday. Came with module attached. Anybody got any info on camera removal and install on new unit?
This might be a stupid question, but is the wing and module one piece? I assumed you could detach the wing and just install on car...

I'm pretty sure they can be separated. Since mine came with the module, I'm going to just swap it like that. If the spoiler is removed from the module there's a lot more double sided tape to remove. The blade is definitely easier to remove while attached to module. I'll update once I do the actual installation. LMR has a great video on youtube.

two pieces, the wing and the module itself, youll want to take the spoiler module off for easiest install of the new wing (its only 4 extra 7mm screws to take the module off vs the wing alone), as for the camera its physically attached to the spoiler module so its just a simple safety clip plug that you need to remove to take the whole thing off.

the wing itself is held on with 7 10mm screws and a bunch of double side tape so youll want some fishing line or adhesive remover to get it off easily.

and for those wondering, the "module" is the portion of the trunk lid that's angled back towards the car under the wing

Great explanation. In the video it shows removing entire module. Swap the camera over and clean one strip of adhesive on trunk and off of donor module. I'll probably do this Saturday morning at the latest. Looks pretty easy.

The entire module. It was easier that way. You'll have to remove the hardware off your existing module as well as the camera, but easy peasy. I didn't break anything! Is yours color matched? Looks like it would be a bitch to remove blade from module, as well as the new spoiler from its module. I needed 5ft of 1/2" 3m double sided black tape from auto parts store. I'd recommended a plastic scraper as well and solvent to remove residue from the old tape.

@Mikestang24 @LoWeLL216 Is there any trick when lowering the new module into the trunk? My concern is that the double sided tape on the new module will catch early and it’ll be difficult to “shift” it over to align the bolt holes.

I had to travel last week and am barely getting around to installing mine tonight.

Leave the backing on the tape. Put it on the module side, test fit, then put back in place and push in. Once you get it going in smoothly, get it almost in and peel backing and drop it in. Once completely installed, press down all way on trunk side to stick the tape. Once all bolts and nuts are tight, park on the sun for a few hours.

Important: you must swap the camera while the module is off the car!
