Hello All,

Got my mustang yesterday, drove it home and as I was admiring it, I saw that the rear bumper has ripple dent line where it connect to the quarter panel on both driver and passenger sides. My dealer kinda shrugged it off and said all these mustangs have that.

Is there a fix to this or unfortunately just accept and move on?

 Mine doesn't, and I was looking at another person's 2024 GT today and his did not either. Your dealer is full of ****.

Just sayin..................

Hope you get it sorted to your satisfaction!

Move on, they are all like that. Ask them to fix it they will do more damage than good. I work in the auto body industry.

amazing if you don’t have it, it is tricky you gotta get it at a specific angle with certain light hitting it, otherwise you can’t see it

I don't believe all have this. Mine doesn't and I am picky. It might happen if an assembler uses more pressure on the contact points than what is needed. It should not pass that way from FRAP.

I haven't even looked at mine yet. I prefer not to seek out imperfections... I notice far too many without looking for them.
yea don’t, I am picky but certain things I can make peace with. However, something like this should not pass Ford standards, I know it’s not a Rolls Royce but still…my 2009 corolla has perfect bumper lines 😭

that’s amazing like I mentioned before you gotta get it at a certain angle and light to see it then you cannot unsee it unfortunately lol

Yes, picked mine up 6 weeks ago and I noticed that right away. To me it looks like they bent the sheet metal around the curve and tack welded it lol. Mine is shadow black, which shows every imperfection. A little disappointing. I come from Honda where the fit and finish is impeccable.

Is the angle of observation anomalous?

Yea mine is shadow black as well. Honestly I am very disappointed, killing my honeymoon phase with the car, buy a brand new car and see this, such a shame.

I mean it takes little effort to see it but it’s visible all the time once you notice it. Looks horrible
