Hello all,

Has anybody done the lowering with the magneride system? I am not super familiar with the magneride system, but have the RTR lowering springs and just about ready to lower the car. I was curious if you have to re-calibrate the magneride system, if that is even possible?? Or you just install them and nothing else is necessary with the magneride system? Thanks to all!!

There are specific magnaride springs. Not sure how well ones for a non magnetize would work if at all. Looking at pictures the magnetize springs look progressive rate while standard seems to be coiled for linear rate

I just lowered my Magneride Mustang with Steeda sport progressive Magneride springs. You just have to make sure whatever brand lowering springs you purchase is the Magneride specific spring. Other than that, there’s nothing special and doesn’t require anything to be recalibrated.

Excellent info I appreciate it.

Just out of curiosity did you add anything else? I know you have to get the front end aligned, but I have read where people are also putting on camber plates to help with adjustments. Was that an issue? Thanks for the info again. Bill

Lowering the car increases the camber. The camber plates allow you to get the alignment within specs since there is no adjustment there from the factory.

I did install Steeda camber plates and told them that when I had the alignment performed.

In the rear, I installed Steeda stop the hop starter kit while I had everything apart. I also installed Steeda front and rear sway bars.

To my knowledge the Magneride software not only can, but definitely should be recalibrated.
Read it at different places on different forums, here as well as on 6th gen forum.
Would ask a different dealer if the first best one never heard about it.
