In the first month of my car I’ve covered 700 miles and averaged around 23-24 mpg, most trips are 20 miles long with about half the time (but not distance) in 20/30 zones in traffic which it hates fuel wise. It hasn’t really changed over time as I’m probably increasing the revs/load in harmony with it freeing up lol.

You do get used to the size that is true, but there is no escaping how wide it is (nearly 2m) it barely fits in the lines of parking bays.
I also jump between the s650 and a r172, the latter you also sit far back just in front of the rear axle and behind the centre of rotation

One thing to note is the way the bonnet blends into the front 1/4 panel and the fact you can see the wheel arch on the drivers side it makes it look like the bonnet isn’t shut properly. When I picked mine up I pulled over to check it was shut within the first mile as it just didn’t look right.

Here are some pictures of my Dark Horse after a wash. The front number plate fixing is a temporary solution. I have the 'Craig's Custom Mustang Bracket' from America which is going to be my first option to try.

I'm really loving the car. Definitely pleased with my choice, despite the very long wait.

One issue I noted is that the head of my automatic gear shifter is silver - I thought it was going to be blueish from the Ford UK configurator. Will be interested to know what other automatic owners get when their Dark Horse arrives. It might have been a parts shortage on the day it was assembled.

A couple of initial observations on features that the USA gets which I had assumed we would get but don't - no remote rev, no remote start keys on the keyfob (although you can remote start using the FordPass app), and we don't appear to be able to set a tolerance on the speed limiter, if you use it.

The cars do not go from Antwerp to the UK so the second one is technically wrong. But maybe they mean Flushing and not Antwerp in which case next week would be likely as it is only 11 hours from Flushing to Dagenham and then on to your dealer by truck.

Once it arrives at Dagenham live chat will not be able to help you as they are not involved in the logistics after that, by the same token once it arrives in Dagenham it is only a few days away.

I had a similar experience but over 4 days with four different people when my car was about to arrive.
First day was your car is in Southampton (incorrect)
Next day car is in Dagenham (incorrect)
Third day car has just arrived in Dagenham (correct, had last location of the ship in the dock at that time)
4th day, err we don't know where your car is sorry. Oh hang on it's just being unloaded at your dealer.
Contact dealer and he goes yup transporter arrived half an hour ago I'll send you pics as it comes off as requested

Antwerp is a bit of a black hole for cars. When it escapes and gets to flushing it’s then about 2 weeks away.
When they said it was on a ship that would have been from when it got off the ship.
Multiple tracking events tend to happen in quick succession and then all get uploaded at the same time. The system sorts info by upload date and not event date and they’re often out of sequence.
And by default it only shows the ‘latest’ it thinks update. If they dig further they can see the last 5 or so updates and some operatives can spot which one really is the latest update.

If you ask them to email you the status they usually will do it and also open a case reference number. Which helps if you speak to them again and get a different answer reference your case.

when it’s in the uk they will know it’s planned transporter movements, but mine skipped the queue.
