Looking at Dark Horse for the first time, actual car in stock local to me. Nearly ordred last year but went with another car. Pricing seems all over the place £66k to £73k. Seems to be loads of Autos for sale.
Originally rrp (which nearly all of these would of been ordered at) was £65k ish, there was a few options like auto (£2k) recaro's (£2k) and various colours / appearance pack.

Ford have since upped the order price significantly and dealers have been more than happy to pass on the increase to customers.
You'll struggle to ever find a car discounted below its order price, or with a finance deal as ford don't allow it.

i was glad my dealer had other finance options. For one i could pay more up front, two half the interest rate ford 'offers' and three i can top up payment anytime without penalty and they recalculate final payment based on amount paid and the lower interest.

I do wonder if the sharpie on the paint protection is sequential and whether its colour / spec etc. or just dark horse.
My car was 12.24, that ones 07.25

Also, i can envisage an auto dark horse to be a tough sell, one of the major up selling points of a DH over a GT is the tremec gearbox which is lost going with an auto. If you want an auto may as well get a GT with magnaride option and save 5k or so, unless you track it you won't really notice the difference and if appearance matters they're easily modified with the wing etc.

Picked up mine friday.

the dealer tried to peel off the window sticker but it was so stuck on it just ripped...

Strangely enough i got recaros, i specifically didn't ask for that upgrade. Didn't realise until all the plastic coverings were removed and wondered where the heated seat button was.

The smell of oil, lubricant or whatever it is with new cars is quite strong, few relatives asking "What is that smell?"

Gears are quite stiff, not sure if thats something that gets easier overtime? used to changing gears with a light push. Rev matching is fun, feels like everyone is watching as i'm gearing down stopping at junctions though :cwl:

already had the back kick out a few times, it quickly straightens up tho, going from fwd to rwd i'm taking it easy.

Car came with a tyre filler foam in spare wheel bit, got a second tyre filler from the ceramic kit they applied which is water soluable so the tyre can be puncture repaired if safe to do so.
Might not bother with a spare tyre, in all my years of driving i've never had to change a wheel but i realise saying this tempts fate... and thats what RAC are for 😁

very happy with the car even with the other seats, they do look amazing and it's only heated/cooling seats so no big deal, very similar in shape to the seats of my Focus ST so i'm kinda used to them.

for security, i did buy a disklok but it's so clunky and heavy i put it on and just decided to return it. feels like i'd put the front window through taking it off.
I've booked in a ghost 2 installation and looking to get a bollard (might be overkill), i'm currently blocking it in the drive with another car.

The car looks amazing, mines in ember blue and summer coming soon and should be able to see that mix of purple in there.

They actually had another DH in the showroom, automatic in vapour blue. Was asking me to see if anyone would be interested, they struggling to sell automatics?

Did you have to pay for the Recaros ?!

Ultimately Yes.

The dealer said the price increased, I could put £800 more as a deposit, with a max of a 35% deposit, that works as a total increase of 2.2k I think. I did question this but thought I'd be annoyed with myself if I bailed then.

I didn't know i got the recaros at the time he told me this so I was slightly annoyed, as I had a signed price from march last year. The car is technically 2025, even tho it started being built 2024 October, the dealer put this down as ford increasing the price for the second production or somet.

The fact that I got recaros makes me feel a little better about this tho. Total for the car is under 70k, 69k and somet, so not as much as the prices being asked for now, and registered before April 1st to avoid the double VED, which I would of expected to not have to fork out for, and was told that basically, not sure if that would of been true tho.

Also the puddle lights are of a normal Mustang horse logo, not the DH logo, is this an UK/EU thing?

No wireless charging also, but heard this got hot and it's probably not worth it. Not sure if this is differences between 2024 and 2025 models?

All a bit odd. You will have surely had a confirmed order document and the price is guaranteed by Ford. If it is a mis-build (as in Recaro seats) then that is not your fault?

VED increase is different - you would have had to pay for that as that is outside of Ford control.

Yes puddle lights are the same on all models - we have completely different mirrors to the US.

Smell is normal - underseal overspray on the exhaust. It will soon clear.

Auto DH is not popular - it sore of defeats the object of the DH and the Tremec.

in hindsight i should of really pushed back on it, i was a bit too excited for the car and didn't care at the time.

Anyone know where to get a UK version of the user manual? there is a US version but unsure if that is accurate for UK model, need to find a few fuses for dash cam.

Even though you have already paid I would check your original order confirmation so see if the price guarantee is there. If it is I would go back to the dealer and ask for a refund of the difference.

Just be aware that Ford offer this but only for orders within the same model year. When you ordered did you order a 2024 or 2025 model? I assume if it was March last year it was a 2024? The most recent price list is for 2025 models released on 22nd October and prices have not changed since then. It depends really on whether what you ordered was available as a 2024 car or not? As in if you ordered something that was never made as a 2024 car for sale in the UK then you would have to have a 2025 car and hence loss of price guarantee. They should have told you well before the collection day however as they would have known for months.

The vin number is a give away if it's a 24 or 25, if it's an R mid string its a 24, I guess it's s for 25's it'll also be the first digit on your chassis plaque.
But lack of wireless charger suggests 25. They removed a feature and upped the price nice
