Thanks for response. I'll get with Ford and share anything useful.

What percentage of tint did you do?I havenāt noticed it on mine and weāre having 95 degree daytime temps here. However, I do have ceramic tint on all windows including the windshield, which does a great job of heat rejection.
I did 35 sides and back with 70 on the windshield. With 70 on the windshield you really cannot tell it even has tint when looking at it, but it makes a huge difference in the heat when the sun is shining directly through it.What percentage of tint did you do?
I've got 30% sides and back (legal), with 70% on the windshield (illegal). What percentage of tint did you do?

The 35 sides and back are legal in GA. Any tint on the windshield is not legal in GA, but again, it is nearly unnoticeable. I figure the chances of getting a ticket for the front windshield are really slim considering all other windows are legal.
Thank you! Great ideas!!I've got 30% sides and back (legal), with 70% on the windshield (illegal).
In most states, the upper six inches / 15 cm, you can do whatever you want. Anything above the "ASI" marking. Below that, while you can have a medical waiver, for the rest of us, it's illegal. However...
With the sides and the back completed, it's very difficult to tell the front is at 70% (illegal) or 80% (legal, often factory). And the vehicles themselves will vary. For example, Google two cars with tint, one with a light interior, the other, black. Same tint, the visual effect is completely different.
But yes, check state laws. And gauge for yourself and the area you live in.
Many, many people drive all over my area with tint way darker than what I'm doing. The police are too busy working other issues. For those driving in "tombs", it's something the police would question or consider, after they pull you over.
Tint companies will install anything you want. I always encourage people to ask them for a junk piece of tint, so you can drive around for a bit and determine what's best for you.
Yeah, I work with electronics (laptops, ipads etc...) and I know there is always heat. I've also seen the heat degrade them over time. Combined with the windshield, I'm a little surprised Ford didn't have a better answer for heat sinking or ventilation. Looks like heat rejection tint will happen (was going to tint anyways). But now you have me looking at my screen in unnatural waysDouble Ewe

are yāall doing, lovingly caressing and holding the dash screen in a not quite family friendly way?
:-O
any computer processor, or display connecting to them with interactivity is going to put off some heat, itās an expected byproduct. iPhones, tablets, laptops can all see temps into the 80ās or higher Celsius.
Hopefully this simple advice can help:
Stop touching it!

The Back of the screen only gets hot when itās in the 90s and the sun pounding on it.Is anybody else experiencing the dash screens getting overheated? Almost too hot to the touch (on the top and back). Can't tell if it's from the graphics processing or the sun coming through the windshield.
