Hi members,I own a '22 gt coupe & it is very smooth on the highway.I am considering buying a S650 convertible & wondering if they are smooth & vibration free with the top up at 50-70 mph.
I realise there is some cowl shake over bad surfaces but more concerned with any driveline vibration on smooth highways.
Thank you very much for your replies.

Mine is smooooth. I don't have any noticeable shake or vibration cruising on the highway at any speed I've hit so far, top up or down. In fact, when I took mine for a test drive, hitting the highway is what sold me. The minute I was cruising at speed with the top down is when I knew I was hooked. The only thing I've noticed with the top down is that the leather on the back seats will flap when hitting higher speeds.

Yes very smooth with the top up. Ford did a great job on the S550/S650 convertibles keeping road noise and vibrations to a minimum. It is very comfortable on the highway.

If you plan on driving 70mph+ on the highway with the top down... well you might want ear plugs at that point. LOL Its gonna get loud.

Ditto what others have said. I've had ours up to 80 (still breaking it in) and was nice and smooth topless. Even impressed that the back flow of air is much less than the 06 GT VERT we used to have.

Similar issue from 69-73mph. Nothing before, nothing after. Assuming I need to get the wheels rebalanced!

Have you resolved you vibration concern. I am having similar issues around that speed and the dealer has not been able to correct it yet.

Still working on it! Had dealer rebalance wheels, they said very off. But, still vibrates at same speeds. Took front wheels off, took to outside source for balancing. Just tried out yesterday and still vibrates. Not sure what to do next! I bought some other wheels for my summer tires. Will try out in spring when it warms up.
Any luck with your problem?
