Yeah I checked to make sure nobody hit me. Especially since the way the tail lights are shaped with a sharp angle it will be hard to get hit and now show any signs of it. Plus it’s been in my driveway sitting. I do have cameras as well and nothing.

What coating are you referring to?
wow that’s crazy.. they’re supposed to prove that caused the issue and no way a coating will cause that. I’ve had mine for a year and this happens. All that money paid just for this to happen. I also have my car ceramic coated. I hand wash my car and never take it through drive through washes. I wouldn’t even have noticed until water was in the tail light or unless someone told me it was out. I’m surprised at the amount of people having this issue. They’re wondering if it’s from using my trunk, but there’s no way because I barely use it and when I do I definitely don’t slam it hard.

I have been lurking for a bit but this is my first post here... Hello!

I took delivery of mine and drove it straight home in the evening. The next morning, I did a more thorough walk around on the car. I noticed many cracks in my driver's side taillight. It seemed to get a bit worse over the week or two that it took for the replacement taillight to come in. I noticed condensation inside the housing in the mornings that would evaporate by the afternoon in GA summertime heat. It was fixed by Ford/my dealership. It appeared to be manufacturing defect to me. They were difficult to photograph but I will try to upload a photo later.

Welcome! Yeah I’m sure it must be a manufacturing defect. Do you live in a hot state? I am in Texas so I’m wondering if it depends on state since I have heard from others that are in Texas, and New Mexico. I’m wondering if it’s the heat causing it but regardless shouldn’t be happening on a new car considering the price nowadays. I am waiting to hear back from my dealer since they sent up the information to their Ford rep. Hopefully they get it resolved soon because it’s been a week without driving my car lol

I do live in a hot area. Ambient temps get to around 100F in summer.

The car that I replaced both on is a 9-23-23 production.

Wonder if it would be worth tracking

Build date
State or climate
If the problem returns

Hopefully it is. Would suck if it’s a possibility even on newer build stangs. Mine is a 8/23 production and I’m here in Dallas, TX specifically. It has been hot but I feel like it wasn’t as bad as last summer. Wonder if there could be a recall for it if it’s production date related
