I can only imagine. I live in a rural area so we don't see much like that but I often have to run up through I465 around Indianapolis and it's fucking nuts.
Some nice stretches north of Indy on US31 between Indy and S. Bend. Weren't heavily patrolled, or at least they weren't back in the mid 80's. Also, you could head west on I70, stop at Putnam Park Road Course. A nice, mid level-beginners type road course. Spent a lot of time there there when I got started in road racing.

A couple photos from Killboy and 129Photos, they look great! I don't know the dude is the S550 but it sounded great and he ran the whole way down the Tail with my buddy and I!

Just finished Day 1 of my 2 Day getaway in Tennesee, 7 hours and just over 230 miles done including the Tail of the Dragon up and down. I didnt take it easy on the car at all, ran it like it was made to run all day and it preformed flawlessly. I am so happy with this car! Got some good pictures as well! I'll post my exact route I took today if anyone is interested.

I run the dragon a couple of times every year. Not in my S650 yet. Not sure if I asked you this, but did you have a manual? If so, what gears did you use?

I have the 10 Speed auto, i ran it in sport mode most of the time, for a while i used the paddles and ran 3rd, 4th and 5th gear all the way through the dragon.

How much were you on the brakes? I have learned just to really drive in a matter that doesn't require braking. Of course I use engine braking with a manual.

I honestly didn't really ride my brakes at all at any point in the 240 miles we did, I am able to engine brake in a sense with the paddles by keeping it in a low gear and letting that slow me. I had the temps pulled up on the dash and nothing got hot beyond normal operating range. I will say that the OEM pads are the worst about brake dust though. Day started with the Velgens nice and pretty and ended with a new color, matte purple lol. The car preformed flawlessly in every aspect!

Ceramic coat those wheels. Makes cleaning them a breeze.

I need to! I used some spray Jay Leno ceramic coating a few weeks back, and unfortunately that did good for about 3 washes. About time to pay a bigger buck and get a quality coating done!
