Three weeks after purchase with 170 miles on the odometer, She is Supercharged!

My local Ford dealer just finished up the install of the Ford Performance Stage 1 whipple kit (M-6066-M8800) today. Car only has 170 miles since I bought it 3 weeks ago. I have to hold out and get her broken in before I can really see what she can do. Going in Friday morning for some Nitto NT555r2 drag radials.

Glad you picked Stage 1 supercharger cuz I think Stage 2 supercharger would be extreme, but Stage 1 is satisfying range of horsepower! Way to go!

The stage 1 from ford performance was the best choice for me. Having the 3year36k warranty was just what I was looking for. I would have prefered to install it myself, but really wanted that warranty.

Mine is not a dark horse. It is a GT Premium 401A package with A10, Performance Package, Red Brembos, Magnaride, Bronze Appearance Package and Active Exhaust. She is shadow black with the carmine red interior.

Install of the blower was done at Akins Ford (Wild Willies) in Winder Georgia.

Break in periods these days aren't much more than hold overs from yesteryear. You do want things to wear in like rings, but that specific issue was over in about 5 minutes. What is most important is that YOU get broken in! If you check around, you'll find out that the first thousand miles or so, is the area where most of the totaled-out crashes occur.

It is nice to say... My Mustang has ≈840 HP... but then thirty second later find yourself wrapped around a telephone pole!

The idea and desire to install the whipple on my DH (which I should pick up in about 10 days) is really strong.
I just have some doubts about the car's handling in curves, which I don't want to worsen due to the extra horsepower this modification guarantees.
Here in Italy, there are so many roads with nice curves, so having a vehicle that doesn't just go fast in a straight line but also handles well in curves (without making it too difficult for the driver) is crucial.
For those who have installed it, how do you find the car's handling?

Wow that is awesome. I'm looking to install aswell.
1. How much did it cost, parts + labor
2. What all did you get changed? Cams, headers etc? or its just SC rest all is stock?
3. Is this your daily? Do you think we can daily a stage 1 SC?

Brad is the owner, his dad started the dealership in the ‘50’s.

Wild Willie’s is the aftermarket department and they do it all from mild to wild. Superchargers, lifts, wheels and tires ect. If you go to there website the have trucks that are Wild Willie’s editions where bumpers, lifts, and wheel/tire packages have been done and sold new off the lot with a warranty.

I bought the Supercharger kit from CJ Pony Parts which was $9600 after tax and shipping. Install was $2900 including oil, filter, coolant, etc. Install took just over 2 days.

Just added the Supercharger. No headers, cams, Exhaust, etc. Wanted to keep the Ford Warranty, and 810 hp/640 lb-ft is good for me now.

Technically not a daily driver. I am retired, so I don't commute any more. I split my driving between the 24 mustang and my 2024 Ranger Raptor. Either car would be a fine daily driver though.
