I've tried ALL of the custom colors. No help. I'm looking for the background display. It is dark. When i go to settings for center display, the options are from center to left adjustment. I cannot make it go to the right. It should be an automatic setting based upon day or night, like my truck. It automatically changes. I'll have to post some pics.

If you mean the background color, then yeah, its always dark. Im not sure if the convertibles have a brighness detector like our phone screens do. Maybe you are also getting glare from having the top down?

Thanks, but it doesn't matter if top is up or down, day or night. Always dark. Too dark for Daytime if the top is down.
To get a bright map display, I have to go to Daytime on my Android phone.

Interesting. Sounds like something is off. I've never had a brightness issue with mine. Post some pics when you get a chance.

This is not the maximum brightness setting.

I prefer running in sport mode myself, but might have to change it, always find myself 20 to 30 over the speed limit

I was referring to the center screen, on the right. See my pics.
The map vew is always dark if I use on board navigation. I can control the day or night view from Android Aito but, I don't like using that. See pics

Ok, so help me understand exactly what you are saying. Is it the main screen in general too dim, or are you refering to just your navigation background?

The navigation background. The one that is built into the car. It will not change over from dark to light, like my GMC does.
It WILL change to light/day if I use Android Auto and make the display "Day" through the settings on my phone.

Ah ok. You had me thinking it was a screen brightness issue, sorry.

I believe the dark background is the only setting on the factory navigation. You can use waze if you want a white background.

Waze is a popular navigation app on your phone that you use with Android auto or Apple car play. Many people prefer it to standard navigation.

Sorry you don't like the dark screen background. I think it blends better with the rest of the console and is easier on the eyes personally. My guess is that Ford did too.

Different strokes for different folks. Waze has day/night also. Thats the nice thing about Android auto and Apple car play. You can you whatever you like.
