We ran this layout, but they can change it depending on rain and other factors.Nice! Can you give me a quick rundown on what to expect ? Ive been exchanging emails with Matt Grev from FPRS but would still love to hear more from a student perspective. How much did you get to hammer it? What was the track layout? (Matt told me it’s most of the infield, then you come out onto the oval at NASCAR 1 and then do a 180 hairpin back into the infield right before the chicane on the back straight. Or did you run the full ROVAL?
I’m having a hard time focusing at work because I can’t wait to get there and get on track!
The dinner the day before was cool, overlooking the track, good food. The next morning, get fitted with helmet, Hans, and suit. About an hour of classrom then get in cars, deice out to autocross track, skid car, and drift car exercises. Autocross is timed, winner gets a trophy.
Lunch here, then go to Roval for 3 multiple lead-follow sessions. We probably hit 105-110, but the group you are in will determine how fast you get to go. Then instructors take everyone around, they are very goof, we had Indy drivers Nascar drivers etc in our group. They hit 130+, ans it's pretty intense.
The whole thing is very professional. Leave space in your suitcase for goodies.
If you are an RTR fan, there were RTR guys filming the whole thing, and they were interesting to talk to!
